Natalie on Instagram: "This was such a fun way to make leaf prints! Peeling the leaves away to reveal the watercolor prints was magical. Such a simple craft but with a big “wow” factor 😍 Make sure to use watercolor paper and keep the paper wet until your leaves are all set. If the paint dries, your leaves won’t stick and create prints. So work fast and keep adding more water and color! 🍃 Save this simple activity to do with your kids!" Natalie on Instagram: "It’s been one year since this activity went viral and I’m thinking it’s time to do it again! A sweet follower shared a tip for making the leaves stick better to the paint - wet them first! Will you try it?!🍃
1. Use heavy watercolor paper, you will be saturating your paper with water!
2. Working one section at a time, load your paper with watercolor (liquid watercolors would work amazing) then place *wet* leaves in the color. Add lots more water and color on top off the leaf, especially around the edges. Choose FLAT, fresh leaves or ferns that will lay nice and flat on the paper.
3. Press overnight with something heavy. Let them completely dry
4. Remove the leaves to reveal your prints!" Watercolour Leaf Print, Wet Leaves, Leaf Print Art, Leaf Printing, Childrens Art Projects, Leaf Projects, Watercolor Leaf, Gel Printing, Watercolor Paintings For Beginners
