This is a special blanket for me because it was designed for my first grandchild. I wanted something a little bit rustic, with some texture, yet sweet and soft. It was fun to add the color-changing earthy yarn to give it a bit of artistic interest. This multi-color yarn, which make up half of the flowers, can be substituted with another solid color yarn. The blanket is made with 4 different colors of worsted weight yarn, and uses simple crochet stitches (sc, hdc, dc). The pattern has detailed instructions with pictures of each step for additional help. *When designing patterns I use yarns that are currently available. Often yarn companies will discontinue a yarn line or a specific color. Noro Taiyo has discontinue a color that I had used. The finished size of this blanket is approximately 32 by 38 inches, and can easily be made into a larger throw. The pattern is written in English only. All patterns are written in US Standard Terms.
