Dreamcaps are enemies in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. They are only fought in Dreamy Mushrise Park, where they are only seen in battle in groups with Dreamcap Captains.

Physical description[]
Dreamcaps are similar in appearance to Dreamcap Captains except they are smaller and are orange in color.
Behavior[]
Dreamcaps are unique enemies when it comes to battle. The only attack if there are Dreamcap Captains present which mainly involves charging at Mario. If all of the Dreamcap Captains are defeated, the Dreamcaps become scared and huddle together. On the next turn, if there are still any Dreamcaps left, they will flee from battle.
In Mario & Luigi: Dream Team[]
Dreamcaps are the Dream World equivalent of Capnaps. They are located throughout Dreamy Mushrise Park. They come in two forms that determine their rank. The common Dreamcap has a pink coloration and is small whilst Dreamcap Captains are stronger and are identifiable by their purple feathers. Common Dreamcaps are cowardly and will flee if you kill their Alpha. A stronger, green variation called the Dreamcap R can be found in Dreamy Driftwood Shore, with rainbow-colored alphas.
Dreamcaps attack by charging, which can be jumped over (either from the east or heading south from the background). Dreamcap R's have the same attacks plus one more: stacking up and charging. The Mario brothers can counter the last one with their hammers.
Standard Dreamcaps are the first regular enemies in the game shown to flee from battle, the others being Dreamcap Rs and Gold Beanies.
All three variants are weak to moves that cause fire damage such as Luigi's Fire Flower Bros. Attack.
