Flame Runner is an unlockable bike in Mario Kart 8. It resembles a classic Harley-Davidson chopper with a fire design on the side. The character's logo is found on the headlights, but it seen on the rear of the bike as well. The engine has a Fire Flower, a V-twin cylinder with Mushroom pistons, and a ? mark engraved on it. The Flame Rider offers a small acceleration boost and a large handling boost at the cost of weight and grip. It shares its stats with Pipe Frame, Wild Wiggler, Standard Bike, W 25 Silver Arrow, Varmint, and City Tripper. Advantages about this bike is the handling and advantages, however, the traction and weight is poor. This bike is only unlocked by collecting 950 coins.
