Square Enix are a Japanese video game company, perhaps most famous for the creation of the Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts and Dragon Quest series. They're the result of the merging of the companies Squaresoft - the people behind Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars - and Enix in 2003. As Square Enix, they've developed Mario Hoops 3-on-3 and Itadaki Street DS (Japan only) for the Nintendo DS. They're both cross-overs between the Mario series and one of Square Enix's franchises (Final Fantasy in Mario Hoops 3-on-3, and Dragon Quest in Itadaki Street DS.
