The Hidden Arts[]

In 1625, Isaac Newton was captured by Ashomia's Deviants outside their city walls. He was taken to their leader, who found his genetic sequencing unique. Newton was paired with a Deviant woman named Morda and she gave birth to a son, Leonid. However, Newton was only interested in the knowledge from the Deviants' holy book, that had been safeguarded for millennia, never copied; he dubbed this the "Hidden Arts."^[2]

In 1630, he stole the knowledge from their temple and set fire to the city of Ashomia. The enraged Deviants dragged Morda from her home and cooked her at the center of the city. Morda was able to save her son by giving him to Michelangelo.^[3]

Secret Empire[]

In 1945 of an alternate timeline created by Kobik, a sentient Cosmic Cube, a Hydra-indoctrinated Steve Rogers went to an abandoned Ashomia where he met the Kraken, Isaac Newton, and Nostradamus. Predicting that reality was going to alter (to Earth-616) with the Cosmic Cube, they had Rogers enter a pool to shield him from the effects.^[1]

Ashomia had a temple where the Deviants kept their sacred, devout knowledge. Their scripture had never been shared or copied until Isaac Newton stole its words, leaving behind only a book with no words.^[4]
