Quote1 I propose we put right what the Maker put wrong. To help this world become the world it is supposed to be. A world of heroes. Quote2

History

Earth-6160 was a reality that had the markings to mirror the history of Earth-616. It was secretly invaded by the Maker, who used a time machine called the Immortus Engine to reshape the world to his image. The Maker most notably used a databank on super heroes stolen from the Baxter Building of Earth-616 to erase possible threats to his designs before they could emerge, delaying the space flight that would have given Reed Richards and his crew fantastic powers,[1] facilitating the ascension of Loki to the throne of Asgard and the imprisonment of Thor, or stepping in when a teenage Peter Parker was about to be bitten by a radioactive spider, for instance.[2]

The world of Earth-6160 from 1963 to 2023

By 2023, the world was divided into seven major territories: the North American Union, the Society of South America, the European Coalition, the Upper and Lower Kingdoms, the Eurasian Republic, the Children of Eternal Light, and Hi No Kuni. The Maker established himself as the imperator of the globe, and set up his base of operations, the City, in Latveria.[1] After doing several iterations of experimental societies inside the City, the Maker became convinced that genuine long-term peace was not achievable due to human nature. Because of this, he formed a secret council between the leaders of each sovereign territory. They orchestrated conflicts and alliances between their nations to rally their citizens together. In present day, the designated "rogue state" that banded the rest of the territories together was the Eurasian Republic, with the intention for such mantle to rotate between each territory over time.[3]

The Maker was antagonized by the future warrior Kang, who sent an army of super-soldiers after him during a gathering of nation states held in Latveria. With the Immortus Engine broken, the Maker enlisted the help of one of the world leaders, the technocrat genius Howard Stark of the North American Union, to recreate it,[1] assisted by the imperator's prisoner, Reed Richards.[3] Since he was previously unaware of the insidious machinations of the Maker and his cabal, and he rejected their ideals, Howard worked with Reed to betray the Maker. Facilitating an attack from Kang by disabling the City's temporal shield, Stark used the second Immortus Engine to defeat both him and the Maker. The City sealed itself off the world as a result. Reed fled with the original damaged Immortus Engine so that Howard's son Tony could repair it. With Tony taking up the alias of Iron Lad to honor his father, he and Reed set out to rectify the Maker's impact in the world.[4]

Using the Immortus Engine, Tony and Reed successfully rescued Steve Rogers, a preserved World War II super-soldier, before the Maker could eliminate him. They also freed Thor Odinson from his Asgardian prison, with Lady Sif as his warden in tow. They embarked on Tony and Reed's mission to restore the world together. Upon being discovered, the world rulers exploited the lack of leadership in the North American Union to secretly take control, using an armed orbital station. They attacked their enemies' headquarters, Stark Tower, destroying part of Manhattan in the process and used Tony as a scapegoat and labelled him a terrorist, believed to be deceased by the world at large.[5] In reality, Tony and his allies used the Immortus Engine to travel six months into the future, evading the attempt on their lives, then planned a counter-strike against the council by recruiting individuals whose lives had been altered.[6]

In the months following the Stark terrorist event, 35-year-old Daily Bugle reporter Peter Parker accepted his destiny after receiving a genetic catalyst from Tony, sent from the future, and became the web-slinging, wall-crawling street vigilante known as Spider-Man.[6] Khonshu and Ra, rulers of the Upper and Lower Kingdoms, deployed their Moon Knight soldiers to violently annex West Africa. This brought them into direct conflict with the Black Panther, ruler and protector of the isolationist and technologically advanced nation of Wakanda, as well as with freedom fighters Killmonger and Wind-Rider.[7] Meanwhile, Hisako Ichiki, a teenager from Hi no Kuni, awakened strange powers after becoming entangled in a shadowy entity's vicious and dark curse for vengeance.[8]
