Notes

  • Originally, Brian Michael Bendis specifically wrote the game to fit in Earth-1610, however over time, the game no longer fit with the rest of the canon after it was loosely adapted into the main Ultimate Spider-Man series inspired by the game's storyline in Ultimate Spider-Man #123-128.[1] One of the many major differences include:
    • Venom still being out of control in the comics, whereas at the game's conclusion he has full control of the Suit, including the white spider symbol on his chest.
    • Trask still being alive in the War of the Symbiotes storyline, whereas the game makes it clear he dies at Venom's hands.
    • Adrian Toomes being alive, whereas the game makes it clear he is at least out of the picture, if not dead, by the hands of Carnage.
    • Silver Sable not knowing who Spider-Man is in the comics. In the game, Eddie Brock tells her.
    • Peter Parker becoming Carnage in the game, whereas Gwen is Carnage in the comics.
    • Beetle taking Sandman's sample, whereas he takes a sample of the Venom symbiote in the comics instead.
    • The Beetle and Spider-Man not meeting before in the War of the Symbiotes storyline.
    • The Green Goblin breaking into the S.H.I.E.L.D. Triskelion, whereas the Goblin breaks out from the Latverian Embassy after being captured by the Beetle from S.H.I.E.L.D. in the game.
    • Spider-Man temporarily becoming Venom out of rage for mistaking a murderer to the Burglar and almost killing him, whereas in the game he loses control over the suit and temporarily becomes Venom that way.
    • Gwen Stacy being Carnage, with Carnage and Venom fighting, then Venom absorbing Carnage and changing into a supersized monster. In the game, Adrian Toomes injects Spider-Man with a serum that turns him into Carnage. After Venom defeats Carnage, he absorbs the symbiote, gaining control of the Suit and receiving the white spider symbol.
