History
José Accardo was a former general of the Santo Angelo Contras. He was part of a drug dealing operation arranged by Hector Montoya, who grew worried of the communist uprising in the country, as he feared also his own country, the neighboring San Lorenzo, and its democracy were in danger.[1]
He, along with corrupt banker Forrest Hunt and others involved in the affair, decided to cut Montoya out of the deal in order to keep up the profits deriving from the dealing. He was eventually murdered by Montoya, who wanted to erase all evidence of his involvemnet in the deal, with a poison-laced letter.[2]
