Agatha All Along is an American web television series, based on the Marvel Comics supervillain of the same name. The series is a spin-off of and sequel to WandaVision. It is the twenty-fourth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the tenth installment of Phase Five. The series is produced by Marvel Television and was released on Disney+.
The first and only season consists of nine episodes and premiered on September 18, 2024.
Synopsis[]
Season One[]
The infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches' Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. Together, Agatha and this mysterious teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Road…[1]

On October 7, 2021, Variety reported that a WandaVision spin-off series centered on Agatha Harkness was in development for Disney+ with Kathryn Hahn set to reprise her role as the title character and that Jac Schaeffer was attached to write and executive produce.[4]
On November 12, 2021, during Disney+ Day 2021, it was announced that an Agatha Harkness series titled Agatha: House of Harkness was in development.[5]
On January 12, 2022, it was reported that the series would start production in October in Atlanta.[6]
In May 2022, it was revealed that Peter Cameron, Cameron Squires, and Laura Donney had joined the series as writers.[7][8][9]
On June 6, 2022, it was reported that the series was scheduled to start production in January 2023 and wrap in May 2023.[10]
On July 23, 2022, at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Kevin Feige announced that the series would premiere in Winter 2023. It was also announced that the series had been retitled from Agatha: House of Harkness to Agatha: Coven of Chaos.[11]
On September 6, 2022, it was reported that the working title of the series was "My Pretty".[12]
On October 4, 2022, in an interview with Vanity Fair, Emma Caulfield Ford revealed that she would be reprising her role as Sarah Proctor in the series.[13]
On October 19, 2022, Kathryn Hahn revealed that the series would start production in November.[14]
On November 1, 2022, Variety reported that Joe Locke had joined the cast of the series in an undisclosed role.[15] The next day, Variety reported that Aubrey Plaza had joined the cast of the series in an undisclosed role.[16] The next day, Deadline reported that Ali Ahn and Maria Dizzia had joined the cast of the series in undisclosed roles.[17]
On November 4, 2022, it was reported that the series' first season would consist of nine episodes.[18]
On November 7, 2022, Deadline reported that Sasheer Zamata had joined the cast of the series in an undisclosed role.[19]
On November 9, 2022, Emma Caulfield Ford revealed that Jac Schaeffer would direct at least one episode of the series.[20]
On December 7, 2022, it was reported that the series would start production in January 2023. It was also reported that Gandja Monteiro would direct at least one episode of the series.[21]
On December 21, 2022, Deadline reported that Patti LuPone had joined the cast of the series in an undisclosed role.[22]
On January 1, 2023, it was reported that the series had begun production on December 13, 2022 and was expected to wrap on May 30, 2023.[23] Two days later, Deadline reported that Debra Jo Rupp would be reprising her role as Sharon Davis in the series.[24]
On January 13, 2023, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Rachel Goldberg would direct at least one episode of the series. It was also reported that David Payton, David Lengel, Asif Ali, Amos Glick, Brian Brightman and Kate Forbes would be reprising their roles as John Collins, Harold Proctor, Abilash Tandon, "Dennis", Miller and Evanora Harkness, respectively, in the series. Furthermore, it was reported that Miles Gutierrez-Riley and Okwui Okpokwasili had joined the cast of the series in undisclosed roles.[3]
On March 20, 2023, it was reported that Christophe Beck would be composing the score for the series.[25]
On April 18, 2023, during an interview on The View, Patti LuPone revealed that she would be portraying Lilia Calderu in the series. She also revealed that her character was a part of a coven of witches along with Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata and Ali Ahn's characters.[26]
On April 24, 2023, in an interview with the The Hollywood Reporter, Patti LuPone revealed that the series would feature original songs written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.[27]
On May 28, 2023, it was reported that the series had wrapped production.[28]
On August 14, 2023, in an interview with Mashable, Sasheer Zamata revealed that she would be portraying Jennifer Kale in the series.[29]
On September 1, 2023, The Hollywood Reporter reported that the series had been retitled from Agatha: Coven of Chaos to Agatha: Darkhold Diaries. It was also reported that the series would premiere in Fall 2024.[30]
On October 6, 2023, it was revealed that the series was scheduled to premiere on September 19, 2024.[31]
On February 21, 2024, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that the series had wrapped reshoots in one day in early February.[32]
On March 11, 2024, it was revealed that the series had been retitled from Agatha: Darkhold Diaries to Agatha.[33][34]
On May 13, 2024, it was revealed that the series had been retitled from Agatha to Agatha: The Lying Witch With Great Wardrobe.[35] The next day, it was revealed that the series had been retitled from Agatha: The Lying Witch With Great Wardrobe to Agatha All Along. It was also revealed that the series would premiere on September 18.[36]
On July 9, 2024, Variety Australia stated that Joe Locke would portray Billy Kaplan in the series.[37]
