Casey Kono (9 March 1957 – 25 June 2006; age 49)[1] was an actor who appeared as an Enterprise-D ensign in several second and third season episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation. As a background actor he received no credit for his appearances and was identified by fellow actor Mark Kosakura.

Kono also appeared as a bar patron in the Cheers episodes "Please Mr. Postman" (1989, with Kirstie Alley, Kelsey Grammer, Mark Reilly, Rudy Morrison, Joseph Paz, Rebecca Soladay, and Kimberly L. Ryusaki), "The Improbable Dream: Part 2" (1989, with Kirstie Alley, Kelsey Grammer, Bebe Neuwirth, Renna Bogdanowicz, Thomas J. Booth, Michael Zurich, Rebecca Soladay, and Lee Allen), "A Bar Is Born" (1989, with Kirstie Alley, Kelsey Grammer, Lee Allen, Rebecca Soladay, John Rice, Melba Gonzalez, Michael Wilkinson, Lorine Mendell, Natalie Wood, and David B.
