Way station (Q Continuum)
A way station was a location on a route, where one could stop briefly for fuel and refreshments.
In 2370, Mora Pol dismissively referred to Deep Space 9 as a way station. (DS9: "The Alternate")
In 2372, a way station located on a desert road was created in a Human-understandable representation of the Q Continuum. (VOY: "Death Wish", "The Q and the Grey")
It was called a way station in the latter episode.
