For other uses, see Lewis.

Lewis was a Human woman, an engineering officer who served in Starfleet aboard the USS Enterprise in the late 2260s.

History[]

In 2269, when Nyota Uhura assumed command of the Enterprise after all male personnel were incapacitated by the Taurean lura-mag device, Uhura requested an all-female security team to assemble in the transporter room. Since transporter chief John Kyle was incapacitated, subengineer Lewis manned the station. She beamed the team down to Taurus II, then later beamed back Uhura along with the rescued James T. Kirk, Spock, Leonard McCoy and Carver. (TOS episode & Log Two novelization: The Lorelei Signal)
