Piggy is excited about the arrival of her Aunt Wiggy, who will be visiting for two months. She presents Piggy with four small plants, saying they'll have surprises when they're grown. Aunt Wiggy tells her niece to be patient and wait, but Piggy ends up over-watering the plants, hoping for a faster result, and using extra plant food and a desk lamp for light (they seem even droopier as a result).
Aunt Wiggy suggests Piggy find something else to do and not think about the plants. In the following days, Piggy plays cards with Kermit, goes on a picnic with Aunt Wiggy, plays baseball with her friends, and sleeps over at Skeeter's. Her patience pays off as the plants have flowered, indicating the fruit they'll bear (tomatoes, peppers, beans, and cucumbers). On the final night Aunt Wiggy's visit, they enjoy a salad made from Piggy's garden produce.
