Fabulous dinner at Guidoristorante with the wines of Fontanafredda
At the arrival to Fontanafredda winery earlier tjis week, we had dinner at Guidoristorante together with Andrea Farinetti. Guidoristorante has one Michelin star and is located in Villa Reale within the Villaggio Narrante at Fontanafredda winery.

We visited about 14 wineries in 2.5 days plus an afternoon of truffle hunting and a visit to the San Francesco museum in Montefalco. This was not my first visit to Montefalco, I go there at least once every year. It was awesome to do a tour with people who visited for the first time, it gave me new inouts and perspectives. ➡️ Sagrantino and its producers have taken huge leaps forward in the last few years to consolidate their "brand" and communicate how Sagrantino wines gave changed. Many think of very tannic wines that are heavy and difficult to drink. Sagrantino wines have changed and are now showing how their strength lies in the tannins when their are well managed. I will talk more about this soon. ➡️ I also see an energy among the producers that pushes them to do more as a group

I was invited to the Mamoiada vintners' associations yearly event earlier this year in June, which was a great opportunity to learn more about their wines.
