The Good Life

I believe that the good life is a life that is centered around caring for others, a strong faith in God, and a little bit of fun. Different material goods are superfluous. Father Matt showed us that we can do many things to be happy, but never once did he play a video game or play an app on his Iphone. The things that made him happy were spending time with the people on his university and doing normal things like playing basketball. He is a perfect example of the good life because he kept God as his focus, and he also mad a lot of fun. I chose many pictures of priests being happy and even priest jokes because I feel that priests are happy and funny people. Father Matt totally exemplified a happy, energetic, and funny guy. Actually my sister showed me a video the other day of two priests doing a "carpool karaoke" and it was hilarious. Many people think of priests as very boring people who just sit around and pray all day long, but father Matt and the priests from the karaoke video showed us that they actually have fun exciting lives. The second thing I wanted to show with my pictures was a sense of caring for all people. Priests are some of the most loving people in the world. They show this by always being there to talk and just helping people out. Father Matt and some of the other priests from the videos told us about how they are very involved in charity work, which shows that love. I put multiple pictures of priests showing their care through different actions like listening in confession, offering mass, and other outward signs of their love. A priest's life revolves around other people because they constantly have to be with the people of their parish, and they constantly have to pray to/for the people of that parish. Priests live their life for others, and that is why I had many pictures of priests with people. The third, and probably most obvious, element of the good life is the strong connection to Christ. Priests are a walking symbol of Jesus, and their entire outfit shows that love. Father Matt wore the hat with a sign of Jesus Christ on it, and all priests wear the white collar as well. I put many pictures of priests praying or with different quotes because priests have that extremely intimate relationship with God. They spend basically all of their days praying, saying mass, or dedicating time to people who need it. Priests are a very good example of a good life. A good life includes caring for others, a strong faith in God, and a little bit of fun. Father Matt has been a walking example of this for us because many kids picture priests as boring and weird. To be honest, being a priest is completely different. Priests are wonderful people because they have a great relationship with God, they are friends with each other, and they also get to have a little fun with each other. The good life is definitely a good life.
