Mathematics

The best maths learning in early years happens in the child's FREE play. Not when a child is dragged from their play to an adult led activity/table top activity. I do very few maths groups & only at the end of carpet time b4 the child is engrossed in play. The most meaningful maths happens when adults support maths in the child's free play.
