Barb Smucker on Instagram: "As a way to celebrate the end of our painted paper collage class, I made large bookmarks (or small narrow collages) to say thank you to such a wonderful group. I added a few bits and pieces and strips to complete them. I found gluing the butcher block collage onto watercolor paper made for a stronger bonded bookmark. Once again, I could not resist cutting up my larger collage (swipe to see the before picture). I really like turning the larger collage prior to cutting so that I can figure out which the smaller pieces might have more interesting compositions. Very happy to be taking part in WhiteNoise_Projects May Challenge! During May I will be regularly posting work for sale as part of #ArtistSupportPledge.
