This is part of Chairish’s Fine Jewelry assortment. Circa 1850, this 14k gold Victorian locket would have been worn as a reminder of a loved one. The forget-me-not flower was a meaningful symbol in Victorian jewellery. It has five petals, though it was often represented as a four or six-petaled variation of a flower, as seen in this piece. The flower is puffy and rounded, hand engraved to carve out the placement for the beautiful periwinkle blue enamel. Magnificent carved bureau table in the Baroque Neo-Gothic style. The terraced construction of work surfaces, with two-tier drawers and a double-leaf cabinet, is crowned with a baroque cartouche with a mirror and figures of mischievous putti with grapes. They rest on a carved platform with curved legs, whose lines are entwined with winged gargoyles and snakes. The panel of the drawer of the table is completely hidden by a carved garland of flowers and a wave of a sliding board. Ribbon - acanthus borders the countertop.
