GODDESS freyra

Freya is famous for her fondness of love, fertility, beauty and fine material possessions. Loki accuses Freya of having slept with all of the gods. She’s certainly a passionate seeker after pleasures and thrills. Freya is the archetype of the völva, practitioner of seidr, the most organized form of Norse magic. It was she who first brought this art to the gods and to humans as well; she’s a being whose knowledge and power are almost without equal. ~Daniel McCoy

Freyja (Old Norse for ‘Lady’) is the goddess of love, beauty, fertility, magic, and war. She rides a chariot pulled by two cats and owns both the mythical necklace Brísingamen and a cloak made of falcon feathers. Freyja is married to a god named Óðr and has two daughters with him, who are called Hnoss and Gersemi; her dwelling is called Fólkvangr and since she’s one of the Valkyries, her halls host half of those who die in battle. #myth

Goddess Freyja
Freyja’s themes are devotion, strength, the sun, magic and passion. Her symbols are lions and strawberries. In Nordic tradition, Freyja’s name means ‘lady’. Generally speaking, it is Her domain to care for matters of the heart. In mythology, Freyja is stunningly beautiful, a mistress to the gods and She appears driving a chariot pulled by cats. When saddened, Freyja cries gold tears, and She wears a shining golden necklace (alluding to some solar associations).
