That's Knot Art!

Knowing it's possible to apply a weaving pattern to 2D shapes (mats, incl. T.H.'s), 3D shapes via covering (T.H.'s, globe & pineapple knots) & along a length (braids/sinnets), it's safe to assume that you can do the same to a non-orientable surface (or an orientable surface that bares complexity); just a matter of how to tie (incl. changing shape's wireframe to determine direction, length, & no. of cycles/strands). Don't be shy, give it a try - WHY THE HELL KNOT?!
