"Perhaps the most famous star cluster on the sky, the bright stars of the Pleiades can be seen without binoculars from even the depths of a light-polluted city. With a long exposure from a dark location, though, the dust cloud surrounding the Pleiades star cluster becomes very evident. The featured exposure, taken from Florida, USA, covers a sky area several times the size of the full moon." | Image Credit & Copyright: Damien Cannane Pleiades Star Cluster, Monitor Wallpaper, Planets Images, Projector Photography, The Seven Sisters, Famous Star, Astronomy Facts, Star Clusters, Astronomy Pictures

M67 is an open star cluster, which means that its over 500 stars are loosely grouped together by their mutual gravity. This is one of the oldest known open clusters at approximately 4 billion years of age – about the same as our Sun! Image description: A scattering of white and reddish stars against black space.
