Eventually, she finds solace and affection from her sister-in-law. The Women Who Climbed Trees is an amalgam of realism, ghost stories, myths, and folk tales that follows fearless Meena, and eventually her daughter, as she makes her way through foreign land and tries to balance the expectations of her new family amidst the ebbs and flows of her diasporic existence.
