Tōru Furuya (古谷 徹, Furuya Tōru) is a Japanese voice actor best known for his roles in anime such as Amuro Ray (both in the original Mobile Suit Gundam and its following Gundam sequels), Yamcha (Dragon Ball), Seiya (Saint Seiya), Mamoru Chiba/Tuxedo Mask (Sailor Moon, 90's anime only) and Tooru Amuro (Detective Conan).
He voiced AkaRed starting in GoGo Sentai Boukenger vs. Super Sentai, and reprised the role in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. He also voiced Prism Ace in Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger Season 2.

Controversy
On May 22, 2024, Furuya was the subject of extramarital affair, domestic violence, abortion coercion reports, which he later admitted to.[1] On June 24, Aoni Productions announced that Furuya was asked to step down from his voice roles in One Piece and Detective Conan due to the investigation, with Furuya complying.[2]
