And sometimes, like in this scenario, there can be multiple backgrounds, or multiple foregrounds on one head. The previous stylist did a great job blending out much of the heavy demarcation line by highlighting straight through the two different “backgrounds”. The client here was looking for some further blending, and also wanted to camouflage the remaining grey at her roots. She didn’t want a harsh grow out line, but also wasn’t ready to embrace grey, so we met her in the middle with a translucent DEMI + baby light combo 🙌 Formula: Demi base: 60mls of Goldwell Colorance Blonde Grey Coverage, Demarcation Line Hair, Demi Grey Blending, Silver Hair Color Formula, Goldwell Colorance, Different Backgrounds, Hair Color Formulas, Grey Roots, Silver Hair Color

The translucency of a demi allows for such a soft grow out, and the greys suddenly turn into what looks like “highlights”. For her new base, we used Goldwell’s REGULAR Colorance (NOT cover plus) 55ml 6N, 5ml 6A + 60ml 2% lotion (7vol) We did pop in some highlights as well & toned w/ SEQ 8VG, 9VG, 9P, 7P I chose regular colorance over cover plus bc we’re going for zero lift & thus, zero exposed warmth in her base.
