Bunny Bear Quilts on Instagram: "I’m pairing up with a new customer to design a custom quilt for her grand baby. We are hunting for the perfect storytelling fabric to be the base of this baby quilt. The goal is that it remains relevant throughout life, so we are being oh so thoughtful with our selection. I visited @gather_here in Boston for inspiration and sent Dana these pictures to help her get a sense of what she wants. Their fabric lines are extraordinary and it is so much fun to wander their store and imagine gorgeous combinations. Alexandra Stein on Instagram: "I’m a quilter AND a cyclist. I don’t think this is a common combination, but let me know if you are too. As I climbed up Monte Bre today, I thought about the commonalities and the qualities that serve me in both 1. Pedals - luckily my sewing machine pedal is way easier to press than my bike pedals were on the climb today. This way rest days in front of the machine don’t take the physical effort, even if they can be physically taxing. These hobbies end up being a good balance. Quilting is great for rainy days or recovery days when I can’t ride. 2. Persistence - whether it’s on a long ride with lots of uphill or a tedious patchwork project with way too many steps, my persistence serves me well in getting to the finish line 3. Bunny Bear Quilts on Instagram: "This is a custom order Dana’s first grandchild just arrived and she wants to gift something one-of-a-kind to this new little person. She came to me with layers of thoughts and a fondness for the #fragmentquilt. We chose the @riflepaperco Menagerie fabric as the feature and paired the rest of the colors accordingly for a gender neutral design. Dana is thinking into the future and hopes there will be more grand babies. She has her sights set on gifting each a quilt and hopes that there will be a consistent theme across them.
