London artist Joshua Dunlop has created a project called Pokémon Zoology, a series of illustrations realistically depicting Ash's main pokémons (Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Pikachu). The result was none other than spectacular, incredible details of texture and color reminds us of a unique realism of pokémons (who never wanted to have one?) The project was so well received by netizens that the new proposal is to do the same with all existing pokémons.
Stephen Molyneaux was one of the artists on Detective Pikachu, and his work—helping “translate the wonderful designs by Ken Sugimori into the real world”—is so cute I can barely look at it.

I'm more of a Sobble guy so far but who knows what it will be like when the final evolutions are revealed. I do think the idea that Grookey is a little drummer is charming, I hope they lean into that for the next stages. Which one are you guys excited for?
