Best large. Every August Bellingham throws a sidewalk chalk art festival, & this year I tried to capture some part of its social meaning. People of all ages & abilities go down to Allied Arts, one of the more important art associations in town, & reserve a numbered sidewalk space. For a fraction of the usual retail price, they are provided with boxes of very good quality chalk. It is not easy to draw on rough concrete.
