Want to help students work together as a team for collaboration and cooperation? Well look no further! This is a ready-to-go activity to use in a physical education class. With this worksheet, students will design and participate in their own games. This set includes: Create a Game Worksheet Create a Game Rubric Your students will LOVE creating their own game. The following is how I used the "Create a Game" Worksheet in my PE class. Objective: Students will use communication and teamwork to create their own Physical Education game. Standards: National Standards 1, 2, 3, 4 Lesson: Discuss what a "good game" looks like: Example: contribute to skill development;be safe;include, not eliminate, students from participation (elimination makes almost no pedagogical sense when one considers that the most likely students to be eliminated are those who have the least skill and in fact need the most practice);have high participation rates;andbe structured so that all children are successful and are being challenged Students will be split into groups of 3-4 and be provided with a variety of equipment. Students will create a game using the equipment and collaboration, with teacher assistance. Students will play their game in front of the class OR students will vote on one game for the whole class to play. Assessment: See Rubric Please leave feedback! Thank you!
