Macbeth crown

I think that this image is a very good representation of the play. It shows that someone was ambitious and wanted the crown. The blood on the hands show that the actions taken to have the crown were violent. The blood is also a symbol of guilt in the play, so the person who commits the bloody crimes is plagued by guilt.

Power: This is what drives Macbeth and Lady Macbeth to take the throne. They are power thirsty, especially Lady Macbeth. After receiving the prophecy from the three witches They believe that it will come true, and they both try to rush it. Lady Macbeth becomes mad with the thought of power end this is what ends up as their demise.

"The mind I sway by and the heart I be a / Shall never sag with doubt nor shake with fear."-Macbeth (Act 5.Scene 3.9-10) When Macbeth finds out that Malcolm and Macduff are on their way from England to seek revenge, he says this. Macbeth is telling himself that he will never be afraid and he will never have a heart of mind that tells him he is afraid. In the image a hand is holding a crown, showing the hunger for rein and how fear will not get in Macbeth's way of it.
