Mega Mack is a substance that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. It is a deadly chemical agent created by Dr. Robotnik, designed specifically to kill Sonic the Hedgehog. It is produced exclusively in the Chemical Plant Zone.
Description[]
The Mega Mack is a pink liquid with texture seemingly identical to that of water. On its own, it is an extremely toxic and corrosive chemical which is hazardous to any form of organic life, and enough of it can make Zones uninhabitable for at least a hundred years.[1][2][3] To Sonic, the Mega Mack will fatally poison him if he is exposed to it for more than a couple of minutes, even by just standing in it.[4][5] The chemical's effects on the hedgehog appear to go through different phases: first he will begin to feel dizzy,[3][4] then he starts to get ill,[5] then he starts to lose his vision,[5] and finally supposedly perish.[5]

The Mega Mack formula was designed by an unnamed scientist who worked with Dr. Robotnik for the purpose of killing Sonic.[4] In the past, this substance was deployed at the Chemical Plant Zone to dispose of Sonic and Tails during their adventure to destroy the Death Egg, but it did little to halt their efforts.[6]
One day, the scientist who collaborated with Robotnik to make the Mega Mack was caught in a chamber that flooded with this chemical, but instead of dying, he was transformed into the villain Megatox, whose body was made up entirely of the substance and could manipulate it at will.[4]
Ruled by Robotnik[]
Under orders from Dr. Robotnik, Nutzan Bolt attempted to demolish the Chemical Plant Zone's primary chemical silo to release a torrent of Mega Mack into the surrounding Zones and kill everything.[1][2] His scheme was thwarted by Tails and the Flock, who destroyed his demolition robots and used the molten slag from their bodies to seal up the breach in the Mega Mack silo.[7][8]
Post-Ruled by Robotnik[]
After Robotnik's downfall, tanks of Mega Mack and its production facility still remained inside the Chemical Plant Zone. As the Marxio Brothers took over the Zone, Megatox attempted to spread the substance across the neighbouring Zones, but was stopped by Sonic. Afterwards, the Marxio Brothers would clean up the Mega Mack from the Zone.[3][5]
