Before the Rise was a web-exclusive article on the Wizards of the Coast website written by J.D. Wiker and published on April 16, 2002,[2] intented to be used as a scenario supplement for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game.
The article covered four political factions: the Galactic Senate, the Jedi Order, the Hutts and the Vena Isolationists in the period shortly before the Rise of the Empire era.
