A Starfighter Commander was a position given to an officer of the Imperial Navy whose duties were to coordinate and command the Imperial Starfighter Corps of the Imperial-class Star Destroyer they were based on. One notable Starfighter Commander was Senior Lieutenant Yve of the Chimaera who, per Commodore Thrawn's orders, ordered Special Unit One to commence flybys near two Botajef Defense Force CR90 corvettes during the Battle for Botajef.^[1] The New Republic pilot Wyl Lark held the rank of Starfighter Commander while in charge of a starfighter wing aboard the New Republic refitted Star Destroyer Deliverance.^[2]
