Life Span[]
In which source does it say banthas have a life span of 80 to 100 years? The Alien Anthology (2001) states banthas "have a natural life span of thirty to forty standard years." It also states that they reach full-size at five standard years (whereas this Wookieepedia article states they reach sexual maturity at 20).

meh, whether or not it's canon, they're definitely longer lived than 40 years, they're massive, the size of elephants, I'd say that the 80-100 years estimate is much closer --Tristan7grunt 20:46, February 19, 2012 (UTC)
sentience[]
I think that banthas are at LEAST semi sentient, considering they commit suicide when the tusken they've been with since birth dies. That's not something a non-sentient thing does, at least, not on purpose. And the banthas are star wars' equivalent to elephants who, are actually incredibly intelligent and most probably fully sentient. Just a thought, I know that people hate speculation on wikis, but look at all the evidence, please, can I just change it to semi-sentient? --Tristan7grunt 15:19, December 5, 2011 (UTC)

I recently added a Link to tatooine on the page in a sentence about the existence of banthas on tatooine, I found later that it had been removed as speculation when in reality later in that same article information was given about The banthas of tatooine. Why was this removed? I was just changeing the way information was presented, not the information itself. Pacavine090 (talk) 22:44, December 24, 2015 (UTC)
