Generic Engineering Console

Engineering consoles improve your ship's performance capabilities. Power available, output/efficiency of deflector dish etc., can be modified through the use of engineering consoles.

Power System consoles[ | ]

Four of the engineering consoles affect your ships individual power settings by boosting a single option. The effect can be stacked, so multiple consoles of the same type can be used.

Damage resistance consoles[ | ]

Armor consoles increase damage resistance and fall into three observed categories;

  • Alloys provide resistance to either Kinetic and Physical, or all damage types.
  • Armors provide resistance for 4 energy types at a lower increase over platings.
  • Platings provide resistance for 2 energy types at a higher increase over armors.

You can match your armor to the specific faction of ships that you're fighting. For example, the Borg use mostly plasma weapons, so equipping your ship with armor that increases your plasma resistance will reduce damage to your ship when fighting the Borg.
