Leap into the air and then drop quickly, stabbing downward. Upon landing, a pillar of fire will appear in front of you.
—Description from Ultimate's Move List.

Prominence Revolt is Pyra's up special move.

Overview[]

The move is overall similar to the Mii Swordfighter's Stone Scabbard; upon start-up, Pyra will quickly ascend straight up with a slash, before diving straight down and creating an explosion upon landing.

The direction can be moved left or right during the ascension, but it is weak in providing any meaningful horizontal recovery. Unlike other diving recoveries, it also does not provide a Meteor Smash, making its use for a Sacrificial KO virtually nonexistent. Also much like Stone Scabbard, Pyra's landing will put her into a brief Helpless state, making her susceptible to being easily pushed by wind and water-spraying attacks.

Origin[]

Prominence Revolt original

Prominence Revolt as it appears in Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

Prominence Revolt is Pyra's Level II Blade Special in Xenoblade Chronicles 2; the in-game description describes the move as "Pillars of fire erupt from beneath all enemies". In the game, it is a single hit attack and is more of a jumping stab than how it is depicted in Smash, though it still creates a targeted explosion towards enemies.
