The Knotty Boss - Anna Leyzina on Instagram: "Happy #JustATipTuesday! Today we’re talking chainless single crochet.
When single crocheting in turning rows we’re typically instructed to chain 1 before starting the next row. This chain 1 however, creates a visible wave/zigzag on the edge of your work. To keep your edges perfectly straight and smooth, skip that chain 1 completely. Yes, you’re allowed to do that!

You can simply skip the chain, turn your work and proceed as normal, or you can do one extra step of removing the hook from the stitch, before turning. Although not a huge deal, this will prevent the loop from twisting, giving you an even smoother finish.

Don’t forget you can find this, and many other helpful tips in my new book Crochet Secrets From The Knotty Boss... out now in a Crochet Tutorials, Crochet Chain Pattern, Book Crochet, Crochet Chain, Single Crochet Stitch, The Hook, The Loop, On The Edge, Helpful Tips
