Braided Rose of Sharon Tree One of the best small lawn or foundation trees for providing summer color is the Rose of Sharon Hibiscus tree. Growing only 10-15’ in height and 8-10’ in spread, this small stature tree has no major pests and requires very little in the way of maintenance. This long-lived tree will flourish in summer heat and humidity. Hibiscus perform best in sunny locations and moist soil. Growing in zones 4-9, this premium plant will produce across the United States.
