Canada is a country located in North America that is seen in the Clementine series and The Walking Dead: All-Stars, it is also mentioned in AMC's Fear the Walking Dead. It was bordered in the south by the former United States and stretched from the Pacific Ocean on the west to the Atlantic Ocean on the east.
Much like most, if not all, nations across the world, Canada collapsed following the Wildfire outbreak of 2010 though by however means the government attempted to handle the outbreak is unclear and it is unknown about the settlements and survivor groups that may inhabit the fallen nation. It is presumed however that the Civic Republic has territory if not influence in the former country.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Prior to the outbreak, Canada was home to nearly 34,000,000 people. It was the second-largest country by total area, and it boasted one of the world's largest economies. It shared the largest undefended border in the world with it's southern neighbor and ally, the United States. It was also a founding member of NATO and the United Nations.
It was also the home of Ricca.
Post-Apocalypse[]
Fear the Walking Dead[]
Not much is known about Canada as the the Trials began, but according to George Geary in "We All Fall Down", Vancouver was eventually bombed during the onset of the apocalypse, thus hinting that around the time Los Angeles was firebombed, there were at least major outbreaks in British Columbia. It is assumed that a military action similar, if not same, to Operation Cobalt was initiated in Canada as major cities were bombed. Valery Vashchenko further confirms Canada's eventual fate that it had fallen completely, albeit indirectly, when he said that he saw the lights leave from everywhere in the world. It is also assumed that because of the low population density in the north, communities reorganized there. Ultimately, like the rest of the world, Canada collapsed following the outbreak.
All-Stars[]
During the onset, Zoey, Owen, and Leo were stationed in Toronto, but the city quickly fell to the dead. The three of them tried to make it to Long Point National Wildlife Area where they hopes to find Zoey's uncle and his motorboat. They found his motorboat, but no signs of Zoey's uncle. They left the area; however, at some point, Owen was bit and needed to be put down. Zoey did it, and this is something Leo never forgave her for. Eventually, they both reached Asyl and became members of the community, with Zoey becoming a supply runner and guard for them and met Eric in the process.
Some time later into the apocalypse, a group of former cannibals who wished to renounce their ways left New York and coursed over into Canada. They eventually settled in an abandoned racetrack and tried to live as normal as possible. Eventually they started a trading partnership with a nearby community; however, they always made sure to keep their past a secret or else risked getting killed.

- Since Mexico sealed its own border with the United States in order to dampen the worsening outbreak, it is highly possible that Canada attempted similar measures with their border.
- Canada, specifically the city of Montreal, is mentioned several times as being the hopeful destination of Davon's travels in Tales of the Walking Dead.
