Reverend Helms (first name unknown) is a character first mentioned in The Walking Dead: Invasion. He is the pastor of Calvary Baptist Church.

Nothing is known about Helms' life prior to or as the outbreak began except that he was the pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Jasper, Florida and was known to occasionally drink.
Post-Apocalypse[]

Shortly after the outbreak, the congregation of Calvary Baptist Church continued their church services with Helms continuing as the pastor. Somehow Helms heard word of a large caravan of church survivors out in Florida and told Miles Littleton after drinking. Miles told Norma Sutters who didn't believe a word of the story. Shortly after this, Helms was attacked and killed by walkers while drunk and reanimated. When he was found, one of the church members, Maywell, shot him in the head and buried him out back behind the sacristy. The congregation continued on with their services, but with nobody to confirm whether or not the caravan really existed, Miles took the risk to venture out and find it himself.
Invasion[]
Jeremiah Garlitz, Reese Hawthorne and Stephen Pembry stumble upon Calvary Baptist Church after fleeing Woodbury, Georgia and crashing their car. The group finds Norma Sutters hiding in the second-floor bathroom. After calming her down, Norma explains how after Helms' death, her congregation continued on with their church services.
