Pat Barrett’s ‘Life’ Is Back in the Christian Airplay Chart’s Top 10

Pat Barrett nets his second top 10 on Billboard's Christian Airplay chart, as "Build My Life" lifts 11-8 on the list dated March 23.

Pat Barrett nets his second top 10 on Billboard‘s Christian Airplay chart, as “Build My Life” lifts 11-8 on the list dated March 23, up 13 percent to 6.5 million audience impressions, according to Nielsen Music.

On Hot Christian Songs, which is fueled by airplay, streaming and sales data, “Life” returns to its No. 13 high.

“Life” is Barrett’s second consecutive career-opening Christian Airplay top 10, following his first solo single, “The Way (New Horizon),” which hit No. 5 in September. Both tracks are from Barrett’s 2018 self-titled first solo album. Barrett, a member of Atlanta- based worship collective Housefires, co-penned (with Tony Brown) “Good Good Father,” which, as recorded by Chris Tomlin, led Hot Christian Songs for seven weeks and Christian Airplay for a week in 2016.

As Lauren Daigle‘s “You Say” tops Hot Christian Songs for a 34th frame, it ascends to the Adult Contemporary top 10 (11-10). Her first AC top 10 (and chart entry) marks the latest milestone in the song’s crossover. It ranks at No. 9 on Adult Pop Songs, after reaching No. 5, and enters the top 20 (23-20) on Pop Songs.

On Hot Christian Songs, “Say” is three weeks shy of tying for the second-longest rule in the chart’s history, which dates to 2003. Hillsong United’s “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)” dominated for 61 weeks beginning in December 2013 and Hillsong Worship’s “What a Beautiful Name” led for 37 starting in February 2017.
