If thinking about Need for Speed Underground makes your heart race, then you should check out the Night-Runners project. The game we have already mentioned is a tribute to classic racing games, from the gameplay to the style reminiscent of the early 21st century. All of this brings to mind the good old "racing games" straight from the PS2.

It may look good on paper, but does the game truly merit being labeled as the heir to the iconic Underground? You can check it out for yourself because the Night-Runners prologue is available for free on Steam. This is a great opportunity because, so far, only people who have chosen to support the game's developer on Patreon have received the demo.

Furthermore, the Valve platform has listed several elements that are intended to determine the nature of the game. Here there are:

  1. detailed customization of cars, including their appearance;
  2. dynamic dialogues of characters who won't hesitate to comment on our achievements and changes in the car;
  3. VHS photo mode - motion blur and old camera effect;
  4. free movement around the garage before the race;
  5. regulated screen vibrations and field of view;
  6. procedural scripting of events in the game.

Besides, Night-Runners has recently received an update that included various changes to balance and gameplay.
