Electronic Arts today announced the release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Owners of previous generation consoles will receive Survivor on September 17, 2024. We also learned the price that will have to be paid for this edition of the game. Let's note that the continuation of Fallen Order at the time of announcement was only planned for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

You can now pre-order Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for PS4 and XOne. In the PlayStation Store, the title costs $49.99. The price will probably be the same in the Microsoft Store as well (it wasn't provided at the time of writing this message), as it has been set at $49.99 in the American versions of those stores.

Furthermore, as an EA Play subscriber, you have the option to buy the newly announced edition of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor at a slightly reduced price. In this case, you will pay $44.99.

Rumors about EA bypassing older Sony and Microsoft consoles had surfaced even before the release of Survivor on April 28, 2023. As it turned out shortly afterward, they were true, which suggested that the sequel to Fallen Order would never reach the eighth generation. Only after achieving commercial success did the "electronics" decide to move the game to PS4 and XOne. Nevertheless, they announced it at the beginning of August 2023, so it could be assumed that they had abandoned the topic.

Now, more than a year after the premiere, the developers have decided to also release their title on the ninth-generation consoles. To ensure that its quality is at the highest possible level, the game has been properly optimized. We will see what comes out of it in September. However, it's important to remember that during the release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, there were significant technical issues on PC, PS5, and XSX/S, which partly justified EA's decision to exclude PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Let us add that the PC version of Cal's adventures will reportedly receive an update in the next few weeks, introducing performance improvements and fixing smaller bugs.
