We are counting time to Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 premiere. It was released on consoles a few minutes ago. Soon, PC players will be able to play, too (at least fans who are entitled to early access, owners of Gold and Ultra Editions). With so many people ready to play, it is difficult to prepare proper capacity of servers. So, yes, we might expect that there will be some issues. Of course, there is a chance that nothing happens.

Update: As we have assumed there are problems with server connection. At this point we can’t do anything. Let’s hope that developers will fix it soon.

WH40K Space Marine 2 – Servers Might Break, Be Prepared for that and don’t worry

If you want to learn something more about the game, check out our other articles about HDR, Game Pass, Ultrawide Support and Steam Deck availability. Don’t forget that many players are plagues by stutters and crashes.

Let’s be honest, the most (or all) popular multiplayer games which were released lately had problems with servers on launch. We can name Helldivers 2, The First Descendant, NBA 2K25, Throne and Liberty… and more. Should we be surprised? Not really, as it is difficult to estimate how many players will decide to buy the game in the last moment. Online shops are quite handy for players and developers alike. However, they makes releases more unpredictable.

Space Marine 2 developers had a good idea with early access, as it will allow them to test their servers in a more controlled environment, but we will see if it will be enough. Let’s hope that the answer is yes.

If servers break though, be patient, as these problems usually don’t last long. Remember that you can play solo campaign until the possibility to join others will be available again.
