am i entering my cowboy era?!?
“Dalton Masters was the epitome of a sexy cowboy. While I would agree with that comparison, he was not my type. I didn't really have a type if truth be told, but if I did, Dalton Masters wasn't what I'd envisioned. His brooding facial features, never speaking more than three words at a time, and how his eyes seemed to follow every move I made irritated me and was borderline eerie.”
this is the first book i’ve read by Avey Cole
started this story because the hot cowboy and was lassoed in by the mystery aspect first time reading a cozy mystery and definitely need to add more to my tbr now.
if you like ex-military , cowboys obviously, small town, restaurant/diner setting, some steamy scenes , and a HEA check this out.

This book is very sweet easy quick book to read in a day for some people it’s got a enemies to lovers theme. The characters are awesome very independent people who has mixed feelings about each other which I think has funny moments partly cause you can see the attraction they have! There is mystery, crime, action packed and my opinion a page turner to lots to enjoy in book! Also with steamy electricity you can feel throughout the pages, but will these two survive and let each other in more ways than physically with their crazy tragic pasts that they each have? Find this out this and more on awesome ride this book takes you on! I really hope we get more stories for the another amazing funny characters in this book:).

Saving Colby . . .
Colby Fields is running from her dangerous ex-fiancé. Showing up in Crescent Valley to run her deceased Aunt’s diner gives her a reason for being there and a place to “hide”. But a former Marine, Dalton Masters, was suspicious of her and did some investigating into Colby’s past to find out what she is up to that is setting him off. He instead finds that it is Colby at risk of harm. When her ex catches up to her, he makes threats. By this time, Colby has spent some time with Dalton and he realizes he is falling in love and may now want to establish a relationship with her. But will he have the chance to make that decision when Colby is kidnapped? This time, her capture could cost her life.

Action packed, romance, suspense, and HEA
This is the first book by this author and it won't be the last! Had a good storyline/plot, characters well developed, and definitely had myself reading quickly to find out how it all concluded and ended. I appreciated the love scenes not being very descriptive and implied....there is some profanity but not enough that takes a way from the story or distracts from the story.

A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. Colby is hiding to protect herself from bad guys and owns the local diner in the small town inherited from her great-aunt. A great place to hide. Dalton knew something was up but didn't have proof until he digs up information he hopes will get him answers. A new author too me but I am glad I picked up this book.

I received a free copy of this book, and I voluntarily chose to review it. This is a well written story with great characters. This was a quick and easy read. I enjoyed this one and I think you will, too. This one is worth your time. Go get this one.

This is a decent story, but there were numerous holes in the plot and Dalton was not a heartwarming character. They both have trust issues, but I felt he took it a little too far. I never lost interest in the story, but it's not one I would read again.
