When Foster McInnis’ ex-wife flakes and he finds himself with full custody of his daughter, the nanny he hires brings a new complication—an attraction he can’t ignore, no matter how hard he tries.

I love being on the ice and am grateful for my hockey career, but the off season is my favorite time of the year because it brings me my one true love—my daughter, Bowie Jane. Between my job and my ex-wife living across the country, the time I get to spend face-to-face with my kiddo is limited, though we make up for it with summers full of fun adventures. We’re thick as thieves and take full advantage of our time together, but the distance away from her is killing me.

My fortunes change when my ex walks away and I find myself with full custody. But with the hockey season looming, I know I’m going to need help taking care of Bowie Jane. Enter Mary Elizabeth Archer—otherwise known as Mazzy. Highly recommended to me through the Titans’ network, Mazzy crashes into our life like a hurricane. She’s unlike anyone I’ve ever met and to say I’m intrigued is an understatement. But no matter how attractive she is, no matter how I crave to know everything about her, I can’t go there. It’s inappropriate. Just wrong, wrong, wrong, even though she might be the most right thing I’ve ever known.

Being the indescribable force she is, there is soon no corner of our lives that Mazzy hasn’t impacted in a positive way. And my desire for more with her becomes far stronger than my misguided idea that I could ever resist this woman. Our attraction burns hot and keeping our eyes, hands and mouths off one another gets harder by the minute. It doesn’t take long for me to know that I’m all in with Mazzy. She’s my end game and, lucky for me, winning is my specialty.

Guess what? My favorite series is back, and I couldn't be happier! Foster's story with his daughter was everything I hoped for, and Foster and Mazzy were just perfect together. I adore single dad nanny romances, and seeing Foster's dedication to Bowie Jane was heartwarming. He's definitely boyfriend material with all those green flags he's waving! And Mazzy? She's independent, knows what she wants, and is great with kids. Though the ending felt rushed, I'm still excited for the next book in the Pittsburgh Titan’s series!

Foster McInnis is a professional hockey player that's been with the league for ten years. When he was traded to the Pittsburgh Titans the only downside was that he was far away from the most important person in his life. His daughter Bowie Jane is everything to him, and being a dad is his top priority. He divorced two years ago and with joint custody he doesn't get as much time with his daughter as he'd like, but makes the most of his off seasons with her. When his ex decides to flake out as a parent everything changes. He's suddenly about to become a full time dad, and needs help. With hockey season about to start he needs someone to be Bowie Jane's primary caregiver when he can't be there. A woman named Mazzy comes highly recommended to him. She clicks with them right away, and helps bring stability and make the transition for his daughter easier. As he gets to know Mazzy, they develop an easy friendship, and become a team. Lately he craves more, but can't cross that line. The spark between them is new and exciting, but complicated. As their intense attraction becomes something neither can deny, will they finally decide to explore their undeniable connection?

Foster (Pittsburgh Titans #13) by Sawyer Bennett is a single dad, nanny, boss/employee, close proximity, friends to lovers, forbidden, sports romance full of emotion, humor, sizzling chemistry and plenty of heart. This book is one of my favorites in the series. I really enjoyed this story, and just loved Foster! He's super swoony! <333

This might have been a 4 star review for me until the ending. This is a quick, light, easy read. The characters are likable. And the book moved at a decent pace, not a lot of unnecessary filler. But then it just ends! Did the author get bored, did she not really know what to do next? Because seriously, after this big drama filled event, it just ends. No resolution beyond a few words with the main couple. No talk about what happens with the outcome of the ex wife. No talk about what happens next with them. No talk about Leo and that little storyline. No meeting families. IT JUST ENDS! So for that, it gets a two star rating and I can’t say that I’m invested enough to read any further books in this series if there are more. If I do, I will borrow them from the library and not spend money purchasing them.

Foster(Pittsburgh Titans #13) by Sawyer Bennett. Foster loves his daughter. However, since him and his wife divorce and he is now in Pittsburgh, he doesn't get to see Bowie Jane as often as he likes. Now that the season is over, Foster is looking forward to spending the summer with Bowie Jane. After their wonderful summer together,Foster's ex-wife drops a bomb. She has decided to leave the country, and she plans on taking Bowie Jane with her. Foster is determined not to let that happen. He will need a live-in nanny and quickly. A recommendation brings Mary Elizabeth into his life. She is everything he needs and everything he shouldn't want. He doesn't want to complicate the relationship between Bowie Jane and her nanny. However, the mutual attraction is strong. I love the author's way of telling a story. And once again, she did not disappoint. The chemistry between everyone made for an interesting story. And the dynamics of a mother-daughter relationship plus a new man added to the story. 4.5 stars for me.

4.25*

Loved this entry in the Pittsburgh Titans series.

* Foster was... *chef's kiss*. Right up there with Baden, Gage, and Boone.

* I loved Mazzy's independence, her confidence, and her willingness to follow her passion. She was a natural nurturer, so compassionate, and fiercely protective.

* As much as I loved Foster and Mazzy separately, I didn't always feel the chemistry between them. I enjoyed them together, but I didn't really feel that spark.

* The absolute highlight for was not the romance but the incredible relationship between Foster and his daughter Bowie Jane. Their bond was a joy to read about and I admired Foster's approach to parenting. His communication with Bowie Jane was so open and honest. And his devotion to her was everything.

* That ending, though... I would have rated higher than 4.25 if it hadn't been for the awkwardly abrupt ending.

* Tor Thom's narration was wonderful for Foster but his female voices were just... no. I had to switch from audio to ebook because of that.

Foster❤️‍🩹

Foster is the thirteenth book in the Pittsburgh Titans series and I must say things are starting to heat up with the influx of new characters/hockey players to the team🤩

Foster shares custody of his daughter, Bowie Jane, with his ex-wife. After the ex indicates she’s taking Bowie Jane overseas, Foster starts making plans to become a full time dad and goes about hiring a nanny, who comes highly recommended. He petitions the court for full time custody, which is awarded to him.

A couple of tropes in this one which include, single dad and forbidden relationship (employee/employer) and also some contentious issues I imagine those who have divorced find themselves having, when it comes to custody battles and maintaining the current status quo for those involved.

I really enjoyed this story and the dynamics between all the characters😍 Mazzy was great and so likeable in everything she did🙌

The Pittsburgh Titans is one of my favourite hockey romance series and with this book Sawyer Bennett has cemented its Top Spot.

𝗙𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥 is the best kind single dad, close proximity, forbidden, sports romance. It is filled to the brim with all the heart I’ve come to expect from this team and the incredible players that make it up. His devotion to his daughter was the highlight. The honest way he fell in love with Mazzy and went with it, was everything.

This book made me feel good.

I read it and enjoyed myself and the last page left me with a smile on my face and a happy heart. What more could a romance loving gal want or need? I’m giving 𝗙𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥 the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval , TBR and Enjoy!

Foster meets Mazzy due to a crazy custody issue with his ex. Mazzy is a nanny that is highly recommended, but she’s having trouble deciding if she should take the job. After some debate she decides that Foster and Bowie Jane are the right fit. They have to navigate Foster’s crazy schedule with everyday life. They also try to deny the chemistry between them. Overall, this book was great. It’s awesome to see more of the other Titans as well as the second string. I absolutely love this story of a single dad trying to make it all work while balancing his hockey career and making sure his daughter is well cared for.

This book was a great read. I liked the initial drama of Foster looking for a nanny and then getting custody of his daughter. But then the storyline fell into a more slice of life type book. There wasn’t even much to do with hockey even though it was a hockey romance. And as much as I enjoyed this read I thought the ending left more to be desired. It ended kinda abruptly and without closure on the crazy ex end. I’m hoping he gets a second book down the road so that we can get that closure.

Foster is a good dad. It’s sad his daughter has to go through tough times with her mom. Foster does a great job talking things through with Bowie Jane and never bashes her mom in front of her.
Mazzy is great at her job. She’s also a great person. I also like her love of music.
Foster and Mazzy definitely have slow burn vibes. Their relationship has a nice natural flow.

I always love a good Sawyer Bennett read and this series continues to be one of my favourite. As I've said with other reviews of this series, the characters are mature and I appreciate not having to read about issues that are due to immaturity. This story was a bit lighter than some of the others, although there was 'drama', it wasn't as much as some of the previous stories and made this an engaging and quick read. We also were introducted to a bunch of new players on the Pittsburgh Titans, so I see a slew of new stories coming our way. 4.5 stars.

I can’t believe this is the 13th book in this amazing series already!! I love this book! This couple, their story, their road to love. Foster and Mazzy are simply meant to be and are absolutely perfect together. Bowie Jane is a special girl that’s for sure. Her parents divorce could have caused problems for her but instead she is doing so well and seems so well adjusted. That gets shaken up a bit but Foster and Mazzy guide her through it and their whole relationship dynamic is a beautiful thing. It may seem to be a bit cliche, falling for his nanny, but seeing Mazzy with his little girl Bowie Jane, he never stood a chance. She brings so much joy and stability into his home and seems to be the missing piece for both him and his daughter to thrive. Mazzy is a fierce protector of Bowie Jane just like Foster. and Foster is everything she could ever hope for in a partner. His love and protectiveness of his daughter is impossible for her to resist. Another fantastic read!

❤~🌟~❤ 4 SWOONWORTHY STARS ❤~🌟~❤

Sawyer Bennett won our hearts once again with FOSTER, the delightful thirteenth installment in her Pittsburgh Titans series!

PREMISE:
When he was traded to the Pittsburgh Titans, Foster McInnis was forced to live on the opposite side of the country from his beloved little girl. But Bowie Jane’s always been his top priority and he saw the adorable ten-year-old whenever he could. However, after his ex-wife, Sandra, impulsively decides to relocate to Singapore with her boyfriend, a nasty custody battle ensues and he wins temporary sole custody of his daughter. Although Foster hates to see Bowie Jane hurt by her mom’s selfish actions, he’s relieved she’s not going to be whisked overseas.

But now that his daughter is under his roof 24/7, he needs full-time childcare pronto. Fortunately, he lands the perfect nanny in the form of beautiful, no-nonsense Mazzy Archer. This fiercely protective dad loves how committed and caring she is toward his baby girl but then sparks fly and he never expected to fall for his little girl’s nanny! Dare this hotshot hockey player risk it all in the name of love? Or is this one goal he’ll end up forfeiting when his cunning ex has one more nasty ace up her sleeve?

MY MUSINGS:
FOSTER was a highly enjoyable audio listen that truly captivated me! I was really swept up in this single hockey dad/nanny/forced proximity tale, and while admittedly, the romance between Foster and Mazzy got off to a slow start (doesn’t kick into high gear till the midway point), I did enjoy it and in particular the domestic drama and sweet bonding that was forged between the hero and heroine with his little girl really hit my sweet spot. In fact, some of my favorite moments in the book occurred not between the sheets but when Foster was interacting with Bowie Jane. His devotion toward his daughter and determination to make sure the transition to his home went smoothly, and that she’s a well-adjusted and happy little girl, melted my heart. Sigh. Talk about OVARY EXPLODING GOODNESS!

I also really dug the heroine. Not only is Mazzy an exceptional nanny but a gifted musician too—a woman of many talents!—and helps him juggle his demanding career and full-time parenthood and brings stability to both Foster and Bowie Jane’s lives.

But dare they cross the line from boss/employee to so much more…?

Although it’s a slow percolating romance that takes a while to take flight, rest assured that when their combustible attraction finally ignites, it’s sizzling hot and oh so deeply satisfying! I loved how crazy Mazzy and Foster were about Bowie Jane and how it paved the way for their blossoming feelings for each other. Possible repercussions be damned!! And while this book has its fair share of drama, it’s relatively angst free and a nice palette cleanser in between my heavier reads .Plus, as always, the hickey sequences and entertaining banter between the Pittsburgh Titans players were top notch!

Narrated by the sensational Maxine Mitchell and Tor Thom, they delivered nuanced performances that struck a chord and brought these compelling characters to life! Tor portrayed devoted dad Foster McInnis to perfection, a strappingly sexy alpha male who deftly balanced fatherhood with his hockey career yet with the help of his little girl’s nanny always put his daughter’s well-being above all else. I truly felt Foster’s soul deep affection for his daughter coupled with his burgeoning feelings for his nanny, brilliantly manifested through Thor’s impassioned, layered delivery. His deep, husky inflections and gentle yet gruff demeanor embodied Foster’s innate nobility and potent masculinity to a T, and his protective streak and sexy growl made me shiver and swoon! Maxine was perfectly cast as Mazzy as well. She was the ideal narrator to take on this kind and compassionate yet firm and feisty nanny! I felt the bond between her and Bowie Jane as well as her deep connection to her charge’s hot, hunky dad!

BOTTOM LINE:
FOSTER was a winsome sports romance about striking the perfect balance between love, work and family that truly struck a chord! It was chock full of romance, humor, tenderness and sizzling passion. And while I wasn’t wild about the fact that the story ended rather abruptly with a pivotal plot arc left unresolved, it still culminated in a warm and fuzzy HEA that left me cheering. Hopefully we’ll get some closure on some of those unanswered questions in future installments of the Pittsburg Titans, and I’m really looking forward to diving into KING next!

Loved This Book! Fabulous Story, Characters & Narration🎧

Foster
Pittsburgh Titans
By: Sawyer Bennett
Narrated by: Tor Thom, Maxine Mitchell

Sawyer Bennett outdid herself once again, penning another fantastic novel set in her “Pittsburgh Titans” series and I loved everything about it, from her wonderful writing style, to the fabulous characters and storylines she created, to the perfectly cast narration, who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. This is the thirteenth book of a series of standalone sports romance novels, each book features a different member of the team or organization, and you really do not want to miss any of them because each one is just as amazing as the other. Foster McInnis and his ex-wife, Sandra, share custody of their darling daughter, Bowie Jane, and the arrangement they had worked for both of them. That was until a new man, Chet, entered her life, one Bowie Jane did not care for, plus her mother was changing, acting differently. When Foster finds out that Sandra is moving out of the county with Chet and is taking their daughter he knew had to act quickly, and turned to Brienne Norcross, the Titans owner and she connected him with an attorney and gave him time off to get to his daughter who was in California. To strengthen his case it was best he hired a nanny and Brienne, who has connections, helps him find one. Mary Elizabeth “Mazzy” Archer enjoys working with children and she is good at what she does and is sought after. Currently in between jobs she has several job offers and has narrowed it down to one, but then comes in another job offer, and Foster sweetens the deal, so she accepts his offer. Mazzy takes the job and all the pieces fall together when Foster gets full custody of his daughter and brings her home with him. Mazzy, thoughtful, patient and understanding is amazing with his daughter and it was great to watch the three build a relationship. Foster was determined to keep their relationship a professional one, but there is undeniable chemistry between them and they could only deny each other for so long before giving in. This wonderful story captivated my attention the entire time and has the perfect balance of drama, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Sawyer Bennett, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Tor Thom and Maxine Mitchell are superbly talented voice artists and they did an amazing job portraying these characters, humanizing them, giving each a voice that was fitting. I loved how they took their roles and made them their own, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters would sound. Thom aced it as Foster, grasping every aspect of his personality, and the just as amazing Mitchell did the same for Mazzy and Bowie Jean. Both were fantastic performing the roles of all the secondary characters, too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling each one. These two are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

PHREAKING PHENOMENAL!!!!!
THE FEELS IN THIS BOOK ARE OUT OF THIS UNIVERSE!!!! Foster is the 13th book in Sawyer Bennett’s Pittsburgh Titan series. And, in my most humble opinion, just keeps getting better and better.
I LOVE this book on and from SOOOOOOO many levels. The whole story is…. I could not put the book down!!! I have read and listened to it once, and I am relistening to it now!! This book is fan-phreaking-tastic!!!
Okay, so as much as I loved Foster and Mazzy, Bowie Jane did it for me. Get your heads out of the gutter hold your horses!!! When Foster is interviewing Mazzy for the nanny job and starts talking about his “back-up plan”, and Foster asks, “What parent wouldn’t?” and Mazzy responds “You’d be surprised how many.” This is sooo true!!! You see, growing up, I was Bowie Jane, caught between two divorced parents, so this book had some triggers and parallels for me. So, the way that Ms. Bennett handled this part of the story line blew my mind out of this world in a very good way!! Please, now do not get me wrong, I loved this book to pieces. I laughed so loud when Mazzy commented about not wanting to become a “trope”. There are so many other things I loved in this book as well, but I do not want to give anything away. However, being a “Yinzer” born and raised, when Ms. Bennett writes about “Highway 19” and “Mt. Lebanon” (actual places in the suburbs of Pittsburgh), I wonder what house she is thinking about in her writing. I do not live far from this area and drive “Highway 19” quite often. Yet another reason I love this series so much.
Thank you so much, Ms. Bennett, for sharing your phenomenal writing talents with your readers. I know I thank my lucky stars when you gave up lawyering (?) to become a full-time author!! The hours, and hours of reading pleasure you have given me, again, THANK YOU!!!
Thank you, Tor Thom and Maxine Mitchell for such a wonderful performance of this story. While I was listening to the story and not focusing on the pages, I could see in my mind the phenomenal story as it was happening. I could focus more on the feelings that were being brought out in the story for all of the characters, and wanted to punch Sandra for what she was putting Bowie Jane through. Sorry, some triggers here.
I was gifted with this book because of my love of reading romance, and for my opinions of this book, for which I am eternally thankful.
Now, I want to thank YOU so much for reading my review. So, what are you waiting for? Go hit that purchase button from your favorite retailer, and when you are done reading, come back and give us your thoughts and opinions about this, what I think, fabulous book. Have a great day.

Foster is a hot hockey player for the Pittsburgh Titans. He shares custody of his daughter, Bowie Jane, with his ex-wife. His story begins with his summer vacation with his daughter. He finds out his ex, Sandra, has a boyfriend, Chet, in the movie industry and that Bowie Jane does not like him. When he returns Bowie Jane to Sandra at the end of summer, he meets Chet. He's cordial, but he doesn't let on that he researched the guy and knows all about him.

After Foster returns to Pittsburgh and is starting training camp, Sandra calls him and tells him she has a career opportunity but it's in Singapore. Foster says NO, but she says too bad. He immediately goes up to GM Callum Derringer's office. Owner, Brienne Norcross, is in his office waiting for him. They know something is up and are there to help When Foster tells them what is going on, they step up and start making appointments and accommodations to help Foster get full custody of Bowie Jane. This includes a lawyer specializing in fighting for full custody for single dads, time off when needed and a nanny, Mary Elizabeth aka Mazzy.

When the emergency custody hearing is held, Sandra is not prepared to lose. She expected the judge to say that a child belongs with its mother and grant her the right to take Bowie Jane to Singapore with her.

Mazzy and Bowie Jane hit it off immediately and become partners in crime. They have fun when they can and do everyday things like homework and cooking dinner. Bowie Jane even gets to do sleepovers allowing alone time for Foster and Mazzy. They're attracted to each other, but don't want to upset the status quo. When Bowie Jane gives her blessing that Foster can date Mazzy, and even gives him pointers on what women like (insert flowers), you see a very mature young woman blossoming into what she can be. She has a much different relationship with Foster than she does with Sandra.

So everything is moving along. The hockey season is in full swing. Mazzy has the house under control. Bowie Jane is going to school, doing homework and going to sleepovers. Basically a normal life. But what happens when Sandra returns? Only time will tell if she comes back permanently. Only time will tell if she wants a relationship with her daughter, or just wants to hurt her and Foster. And what will this do to Bowie Jane mentally and emotionally? Children are resilient, but some things leave a lasting impression.

It's always a joy listening to Tor Thom and he doesn't disappoint in Foster. It's been awhile since I've listened to Maxine Mitchell and I had forgotten how good she is. This was the first time I have listened to this pair together and enjoyed the combination.

A heartwarming single dad/nanny romance

Pittsburgh Titans is one of my favourite hockey series, and Sawyer Bennett has delivered another wonderful addition to the team. FOSTER is a single dad, she's the nanny, close proximity, slow burn romance which had me constantly smiling and sighing. It's a sweet, heartwarming, sexy story which has a single dad who would do anything for his little girl, and the nanny who enters their lives and brings so much sunshine and support with her. I devoured this book ... it was simply that good.

Hockey player Foster McInnes shares custody of his daughter, Bowie Jane, with his ex-wife, the only problem is they live on opposite sides of the country. His hockey schedules dictate when he can see her, and after a summer with her it's time for her to return to her mother. When Foster's ex-wife announces plans that will change everything he decides to apply for full custody of Bowie Jane, the only problem is he's going to need a nanny. Enter Mazzy Archer, a highly recommended nanny who is currently between positions, and Foster will do anything to hire her. Mazzy was absolutely gorgeous, in both looks and personality. She was sweet, sexy. smart, nurturing, loyal, and honest, and Foster was completely captivated by her.

Having a gorgeous nanny isn't what Foster wanted. How was he going to resist her, especially when Bowie Jane and Mazzy had developed an instant bond? I loved that Mazzy easily slotted into their lives, the way she took Bowie Jane under her wing, the friendship they developed was simply beautiful. I enjoyed witnessing the evolution of Foster and Mazzy's relationship, it was a slowburn build to what they both desired, they had a natural chemistry which simmered before it boiled. While bother were falling for each other, they were also considerate of Bowie Jane's feelings and how she would be affected should anything happen between them.

While there is very little drama within the story, Foster's ex-wife is never far away and causes some moments of panic. Foster's teammates bring some wonderful humour and wise advice, Mazzy's friend and fellow musician, Leo, also brings some interesting humour (he needs a story - I'm sure it would definitely be interesting).

FOSTER was a terrific read, humourous, emotional, and unputdownable. Another winner from Sawyer Bennett.

For those who need the warning, this book deals with a contentious custody issue. I didn’t necessarily want to list specific content warnings since they could seem spoiler-ish, but felt it wouldn’t hurt to give notice that there are some sticky parts when it comes to Foster and his ex-wife and the way their daughter is treated at times.

That being said, Foster is an amazing father. He hates living far away from his 10-year-old daughter Bowie Jane but that is where his hockey career has taken him for the last couple of years. He is contemplating when the right time to hang his skates up will be as it seems Bowie Jane has been struggling more recently with being apart. Foster knows that has to do with her mom to some extent. She’s gone from a very attentive mother hen to someone who misses calls to her daughter while she’s with her dad and backs out of scheduled visits at the last minute. Suddenly, Foster finds himself heading across the country to pick his daughter up just as the season is about to start. Being a single father and a professional athlete don’t go together during the season, so Foster hires a highly recommended nanny.

Mazzy loves being a nanny. She grew up in a very loving blended family and enjoyed helping with her younger siblings even when she wasn’t asked. Now in her late 20s and with loads of experience, she’s the childcare provider everyone fights over. From the moment Mazzy and Foster meet there is a connection. They both know it is something that can never be pursued, but it’s undeniable. No matter how good of a nanny she is or how good of a dad Foster is, they have a hard time ignoring the pull. But they are both so awesome and Foster discusses things with Bowie Jane instead of sneaking behind her back, he doesn’t want to do anything to break her trust in him. The scene when he explains his hope to date Mazzy to his daughter is so good and reaffirms my faith in him as a fantastic dad.

As much as I adored the relationship between the adults and Bowie Jane, I loved the relationship Foster and Mazzy developed. I like that they are similar in age as it never felt as though he (the employer) was taking advantage. They talked things out and were open about any problems, but still, there was fire when they were together. These two swept me off my feet. There are some tough moments with Bowie Jane’s mom, but overall this was a feel-good story.

This is book 13 in the Pittsburgh Titans series and while it could be read as a standalone, I would read the books in order.

This is one of the best single dad romance I have read in quite some time! I loved Foster and how much he loved his daughter! I loved how hard he was willing to fight for her and what he was willing to put himself through in order to keep her in his life. Mazzy is funny, sweet and, loving and just perfect for them both! They have this chemistry from the start but it takes a bit to act on it, especially with everything going on in their lives. I loved how everything played out, and how much his team and the management supported them through everything. Definitely another well written book in this series and keeps you wanting to keep reading and knowing more! Btw, Bowie Jane is the type of kid that everyone loves and needs a story for when they grow up!

Foster McInnis’s focus, when he isn’t on the ice, is his 10 year old daughter. He only has the off season and a few short visits when he is playing on the West Coast to see her. The time he has with her is scarce, so he cherishes every minute. When his ex announces she is moving out of the country and wants to take Bowie Jane with her, Foster jumps into action to make sure he doesn’t lose his daughter. Quick action means he has to have a nanny lined up before he goes before the judge, and Mazzy comes highly recommended from within the Titans organization.

Mazzy loves everything about being a nanny and though she is sad to see her previous employers moving away, she is excited for new opportunities. She doesn’t know much about hockey before she starts working for him, but quickly finds her rhythm in the household and in the stands at games. She also finds herself attracted to her employer in a way she’s never felt before, both Bowie Jane and her father.

This was an easy, cozy read with only a few bumps along the way for Mazzy and Foster. If you’ve followed this series, you likely have an idea of some of the threats that face this newly formed family unit, but even knowing what was coming, the story built in a comfortable, non-angsty way. I loved watching Mazzy and Foster explore their attraction while supporting and encouraging Bowie Jane. The little family unit they form is full of open communication, clear boundaries, and lots of heart.

There is plenty of time with the team, but mostly in the background. There are a few new team members this season and I’m looking forward to getting some more back story on a couple of them.

When Foster McInnis’ ex-wife flakes and he finds himself with full custody of his daughter, the nanny he hires brings a new complication—an attraction he can’t ignore, no matter how hard he tries.

Loved Foster & Mazzy's story! If you love a single Dad who happens to be a hot hockey player this book is for you! Foster is swoon-worthy beyond words! His dedication to his daughter Bowie Jane is incredible! I immediately fell in love with Bowie Jane. I was hooked within the first few pages of their story, and loved every page. Highly recommend!

**Audiobook Review**

Oh man, Sawyer Bennett has me swooning over Foster and Mazzy. “Foster” is a swoony, romantic and feel good single Dad/Nanny romance that is a fantastic addition to the “Pittsburgh Titans” series.

Foster has been with the Titans since the rebuild and had found his groove with the team. He’s also a single Dad to his daughter, Bowie Jane, and has had shared custody with his ex-wife. Until one morning, his ex tells him she’s moving to Singapore with her current boyfriend for a shot at acting, and she’s taking their daughter with her. Foster scrambles to put a stop to it and in turn, hires Mazzy to be her nanny when he’s on roadtrips. Mazzy has always loved children and being a nanny is her calling. Mazzy effortlessly falls into a routine with Bowie Jane and Foster as they navigate their new normal. And as time goes on, Foster and Mazzy start to develop feelings for each other.

The moment I started this book, I was hooked on Foster. He’s a Dad first and hockey player second. His love for his daughter shined throughout the whole book and I just loved the relationship they had. He’s caring, kind, treats her like a human and always takes her feelings into account of anything that he does. This is how you write about a single Dad and his relationship with his kid. Mazzy is so sweet and I loved her right from the beginning as well. I love that she was unapologetic about wanting to be a nanny and that was her calling, her career choice. She was incredible with Bowie Jane and made sure that she felt valued and safe. Foster and Mazzy had a slow burn romance that just ignited once they went out on their first date. The connection after that was undeniable and I loved these two together. The added drama with Bowie Jane’s mother had me on the edge of my seat as I listened. The ending was so sweet and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Maxine Mitchell and Tor Thom narrated as Mazzy and Foster and they were great. Maxine brought all of Mazzy’s kind and caring personality to life. Tor was great as Foster, I loved his narration of the caring, kind and protective single Dad.

Foster and Mazzy were exactly what I needed! I loved their road to their HEA….I am also a giant sucker for a single dad nanny romance. Foster, a recently divorced single dad finds himself in desperate need of a nanny. His young precocious daughter will now be living with him full time. I really enjoyed the inside peek at how Foster had to take to gain full custody of Bowie Jane. I also really adored Foster’s dedication to his daughter. He was always putting her first, thinking about how his decisions would impact her, and how to emotionally support her through the transition to Pittsburgh. There were so many green flags Foster was waving during this book that I lost count. He is definitely top tier book boyfriend material. And when this man fell so hard for his nanny, I was giddy.
Mazzy is a talented and sought after nanny but after she meets Foster she knows in her gut that she needs to take the job and care for Bowie Jane. Mazzy is such a dynamic character, and her firm boundaries and rules totally play off her more fun laid back Mary Poppins side, too. Not only is she an amazing caregiver, but man is she a talented musician, too! As an educator I appreciated the way she spoke to and cared for Bowie Jane. She is a character that you wish you could hang out with once the book ended.
The tension between Foster and Mazzy was there from the start, and I really like how they took things a little slow and then hit the gas - these two were all in. Their relationship felt very mature and they communicated well. The more books I read the more I appreciate couples that communicate and don’t make hasty choices or argue for petty reasons.. However, Foster’s ex-wife might be one of my least favorite characters in any of Sawyer’s books. She really was selfish and just plain terrible. If you love a single dad/nanny romance with amazing characters and a sweet sassy kid this book is for you! These Pittsburgh Titan’s books just keep getting better, and I cannot wait for what is next in this series!

Review by Trinette Dungee

The Titan’s are back for another season and continuing to building their roster; with a whole new set of players, next in line fall to get bitten by that love bug is Foster McInnis. The most important person in Foster McInnis’ life is his daughter, Bowie Jane. When he was traded to the Pittsburgh Titans, he went from spending time with her on a regular basis to living on the other side of the country and seeing her in smaller increments and summer holiday. That changes when his ex-wife starts to put her own needs above their daughter’s. Foster now has his daughter full time and needs a full-time nanny ASAP.

Mazzy Archer proves to be just what Foster needs, in more ways than one. She and Bowie Jane have an immediate connection, which is the most important thing; but there’s also a connection between Foster and Mazzy.

This was a quick read with next to no angst. This was strictly Foster and Mazzy giving into their needs while maintaining the well-being of Bowie Jane. I liked both characters. Despite the fact that he was extremely young when Bowie Jane was born, Foster fell into fatherhood easily and proves to be the balanced parent. Mazzy is secure in who she is, and isn’t afraid to make the necessary moves for her and Foster to be together, while making sure Bowie Jane’s needs are met. What I also liked about this story, is Bowie Jane’s involvement. Bowie Jane was basically written as a third main character. There were times she seemed a bit mature to be ten, but it happens. I loved how Foster and Mazzy communicated with Bowie Jane. There was open dialogue with her.

Again, this was a very short read. It might not be my favorite Titan’s book, but I liked Foster and Mazzy a lot. This should be added to your summer reading list. It’s definitely a poolside ride. It’s a good pallet cleanser in the event you’ve been reading a lot of high angst and high sex books and need a break. Or if you’ve the passenger on a short road trip.

FOSTER is the thirteenth instalment in Sawyer Bennett’s contemporary, adult PITTSBURGH TITANS erotic, hockey romance series. This is twenty-nine year old, center Foster McInnis, and twenty-eight year old musician and nanny Mary Elizabeth ‘Mazzy’ Archer’s story line. FOSTER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Mazzy and Foster) FOSTER follows the building romance and relationship between our story line couple. Foster McInnis has been granted full-time custody of his ten year old daughter Bowie Jane but Foster needs a nanny, and Mary Elizabeth ‘Mazzy’ Archer is perfect for the job. Mazzy is a musician who was nanny to her younger siblings, and Bowie Jane’s immediate acceptance and trust is everything Foster had been hoping for but Foster never expected to fall for his daughter’s nanny, and in this, Foster must tread carefully before taking a chance. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Foster and Mazzy, and the potential fall-out when Foster’s ex returns taking what doesn’t belong.

The world building is a familiar one-professional father falls in love with his child’s nanny. Foster knows that to cross a line may affect his only child but with the help of his fellow teammates, Foster comes to a decision that will affect his life going forward.

The relationship between Foster and Mazzy begins acrimoniously as Mazzy immediately butts heads with our story line hero. Mazzy has been offered an other position, and Foster is willing to offer anything for help in raising his daughter. As Mazzy and Foster begin to spend time together as a family with Bowie Jane, Foster is slowly falling for the woman that could break his daughter’s heart. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters include several new members of the Pittsburgh Titans hockey club including team owner Brienne Norcross, and GM Callum Derringer. We are introduced to Mazzy large extended family, as well as Foster’s ex Sandra, and her boyfriend Chet.

FOSTER is a story of betrayal and vengeance, lies and manipulation, family and friendships, relationships and love. The premise is captivating but the conflict resolution was a little too rushed and felt incomplete; the romance is seductive-the chemistry is palpable; the characters are determined and animated.
