This is the 2nd part of this serial novella series. You should know that mean it ends in a cliffhanger, so if that bothers you, you can collect them and wait until you have all 4 parts before reading or what until the boxed set of all 4 come out. This is also for adults only due to the randy thoughts of Kai and his dragon.
I always get excited when I get new Jessie Donovan story. She is the QUEEN of awesome serials. She has figured out how to do it right. Her stories are always complex and full of action, drama, and wonderfulness. Kai and Jane’s story is no different. Tons happened in this story, and I hate where it ended because I was so into the story. I can’t wait for the next part!!!
I highly recommend this serial series, but I do highly recommend starting from the beginning and reading them all in order for the most awesome experience because the characters continue to show up in subsequent stories and bring up history that you will not understand :) If you are a dragon shifter lover, you must read this whole series!!!

I was given a ARC to read and to give a Review. I can say I have'nt read a book Jessie has written that I didn't enjoy!

This is a great storyline with characters that are scorching hot!! OF course the story flows well and I name her CLIFFHANGER QUEEN so it ends with a cliffhanger. Jessie books makes you chuckle the whole time you are reading. I have read every book Jessie Donovan has written. The dialog between the dragons and their human counterpart is hilarious. There is lots of intrigue, it's engaging and I love reading Jessie Donovan's books. She knows how to weave a story and leave you on the edge of your seat.
Part two starts with Kai Sutherland and Jane Hartley continuing to dance around one another as they pursue the Carlisle Dragon Hunters. They seem to going into lip lock just from a look. Kai dragons wants to enjoy the sweetness that is Jane, but Kai argues that she could be like Maggie! Jane wants Kai as she’s been thinking about him all the time. WOW!! So much lust, kissing, being arouse that drives them both wanting more. Everyone but Kai can see the Sparks!! Kai continues to argued with his dragon about Jane. So Kai gets hurts and Nikki flys them both back to Stonefire.
I can't wait to read the next part! I can just see the smoke coming from the pages!!!

I love Kai's toughness and Jane's no BS personality but I had to be honest with myself and think really hard about this review. So as the rules of the honest review game go, this distinct part of Kai and Jane's story just didn't do much for me in regards to the excitement that I look for while reading books. I don't feel that enough happened in the 50 or so pages of story for anything in particular to stand out in my mind and have noticed over the past few books that I've started finding it particularly complicated to rate and review the serials. The shortness of those distinct parts are beginning to feel as if they don't have enough in them to be able to map out a completely fair review in relationship to the overall awesomeness of the direction of the story. While all components together most likely will deserve a 5 star rating in my mind, it sucks as a fan to have to give anything less than a 4 or 5 star. I hated giving it 3 stars because I absolutely love Jessie Donovan's stories but that's how I felt about this particular piece of this specific book. :(

Ms. Donovan has become a very talented writer, every time I read her books I'm right there battling the Dragon Slayers or Making Love to my Dragon Mate.
We ended Part One with Kai Sutherland starting to kiss Jane Hartley which that kiss was followed up in Part Two. Jane, Kai and Nikki were looking for the strong hole where the dragon hunters bed down.. Kai took Jane into the alley where no watching eyes saw Kai finished that to die for kiss, Jane wanted it to go on forever. Someone was coming and he told Jane to run and text Nikki. Than a car pulled into the alley and 5 more guys came out of the car
w/guns. Kai was unconscious and bleeding , Nikki turned into a dragon and too the hospital where Dr. Sid can perform to permitted. I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

Book two and Kai and Jane were about to kiss at the end of book one when it left us waiting. Kai and his dragon are battling their attraction--hots for Jane.
I love that she stands up to him--and his consternation. No one stands up to the Head Protector of the Clan. No one but this feisty woman. She is not what he expected and nothing like another.
The plan to find the Hunters leads them to a male human for his help and some deep trouble.
A good read leaving us wanting more. There is some steam, witty dialogue, interesting characters with hints at more secrets and stories to come. There is action and lots of innuendos Jane and I need the the story behind.

I'll never get over how Horny those dragons are, sex, sex, sex is what they are always talking about!!! LOL I love the dialogue they have with their humans, the way they argue back an forth.
Kai is dead set on denying what his dragon knows he wants and Jane does too, but her career is keeping her back.
I have a feeling the dragon is going to win this argument.
Darn I can't wait to read the next book, this is getting so good!!!

Just when things was starting to get juicy we're hit with a cliffhanger. I love Jane feisty and sassy way its freaking hilarious to watch Kai try to handle her I can't get enough of this series can't wait to see what going to happen next.

And the icing on the cake - many of our favorite characters from Jessie's earlier series make an appearance and lend a helping hand. That and a whole lot more!!! Hopefully, we'll get to meet Jane's brother, Rafe. I think he and Nikki would certainly be a match made in heaven! Deliciously cute, seriously sexy, fabulously funny, completely captivating and delightfully entertaining. I can hardly wait for the next installment!!!

They discuss what has happened and Bram suggests with steele in his voice that she stay on Stonefire land to keep her safe. When Jane goes to visit Kai in hospital, he finds out she has been given the task of looking after him while he is healing. Kai is shocked at the news but has no choice but to accept his leaders orders. When Kai is released from hospital, he takes her back to his place. Jane is dead tired from the whole incident, so Kai shows her to the room where she will be staying. But sleep eludes him and he goes to take a peek at a sleeping Jane. When he sees her in his spareroom bed, he realises that what his dragon has been saying all along is true, she's their second chance. They want her, in their lives and in their bed. So Kai tells her. Wow another awesome read. I absolutely loved this story, it was so enjoyable. Part 2 has a bit of everything, humor, action and romance. The storyline is captivating and very entertaining, and I love Kai and Jane. They have a great connection but Kai is moody and stubborn, but I like that about him. Jane, is strong-willed and full of spirit and she's very good for him. What we haven't seen much of yet is the vulnerable side of Kai, but I'm sure we will as trusting is hard for him, especially another female with his heart. Luckily for us Jane likes him and doesn't take any of his nonsense, putting him in his place. So part 3 is going to be very exciting. Jessie's storytelling and writing is amazing and never fails to keep me interested and never disappoints. Although, with this ending, grrr I could have literally strangled her for it but it's a very clever ending. So worth the read and I highly recommend it. Must be read in order. Loved part 2!

Part two of the ARC begins with Kai Sutherland and Jane Hartley going into lip lock. Kai begins to enjoy the sweetness that is Jane while his dragon argues to go for the gusto! Jane is not immune either, as she’s been dreaming about Kai. Face it they are very attracted to one another. Kai breaks it off, arguing with his dragon about Jane. Who won the bet? Donovan returns to Kai & Jane’s story with flair. The romantic tension between these two is palpable, and apparent in every aspect of the story. Combined with the fast paced, danger fraught story Donovan has created a winning story. The suspense throughout is topped only by that left by the cliff-hanger ending.
I love how Donovan develops her dragon shifters & their world just a little more with each new story. Stonefire is a larger than life place that is seeped with history, mythology, and fantastic characters. The dragon-human interactions are priceless and really show a lot about who the dragon shifters are.
Kai’s over the top jealousy was perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed this crack in his perfectly polished veneer. His alpha-ness on the outside & his vulnerability on the inside makes him a character that you can’t forget. Jane’s assertiveness puts her on par with Kai, making them quite the couple. Their interactions are so real & genuine, while at the same time being larger than life.

Reawakening the Dragon: Part Two is the second part of Kai and Jane's story arc. I received a copy in exchange for review. One thing always strikes me about Jessie Donovan's books. They are always tightly plotted, written and edited. This installment is no different. Things are quiet at Stonefire but, Kai is definitely not willing to rest and assume that means things are okay and no one is plotting against them. He is avidly watching and even spending time outside of the clan lands to keep an eye on what the hunters and other groups are doing. Jane is out there trying to investigate and get information for her own uses and things get hairy right away. The story stays action-packed and the give-and-take between Kai and Jane is a slow sensual burn. Nikki's role is pretty big in this story also and the rules for how she is allowed to date/mate are different but, she is getting push back from her dragon. I wonder if she will be the next story arc. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next!

Jane is her usual tough, stubborn self. She takes Kai head on and with no fear. She's not about to be intimidated by a dragon and especially not Kai Sutherland. Kai has been burned by a human before and as much as he's attracted to Jane, she's not his mate, he's met her and she rejected him for another man, but kissing her is just what his dragon wants.
Jane is so much fun, and the way she pushes past Kai's barriers and frustrates the man beyond any other person is so much fun to read about. I can't wait to see what else is in store for this fun couple.

Kai has finally found his perfect mach in this book and Jane is so standing up to him!!!!

Jane is trying her best to penetrate the wall that Kai keeps wrapped around his heart she wants to get closer to this dragonman as she helps the Stonefire clan bring down the hunters but is also afraid it will jeopardise her career as a journalist, as people would not believe she was unbiased. Kai is fighting his own internal battle as well as his dragon, his dragon wants Jane as their second chance but Kai keeps coming up with excuses, he has protected not only the clan for so long but also his heart. How long will Kai be able to fight with his heart and his dragon to keep Jane at arms length. Loved the second part of Reawakening the Dragon, I would definitely recommend it so if you haven't read it yet you are missing out.

Sparks are flying and it’s getting hotter as the attraction between Kai and Jane continues to grow but the relationship is a distraction that neither can really afford and these strong captivating characters are determined to succeed at their task and keeping readers entertained. Vivid imagery brings the story to life while the fast paced smooth flowing plot keeps readers on their toes with suspense, excitement and romance while some snarky dialogue not only between Kai and Jane but between Kai and his dragon provides a bit of humor.
I can’t wait to read the next installment in the Reawakening the Dragon serial as there has been a hiccup in Kai and Jane’s mission and new plans have been set in motion.

Jane as always had feelings for Kia but he always comes across as hard silent brooding shifter.
Kia and his dragon has always liked Jane but Kia has already met his mate in her previous clan. Maggie is incredibly shy and didn't want to go through mate-frenzy so mated to another shifter while Kia was in human army.
Kia comes back and his dragon goes crazy and needs restraining but in the end Kia starts to get back to a normal life.
This mating is really weird their not supposedly true mate but both Kia and his dragon want Jane for their mate. Great story and HEA enjoyed epilogue.

Wow part 2 was amazing as usual! Jane and Kai's kiss is intense. Jane won't put up with Kai's bossiness and Kai's dragon wants his human and Kai really wants his human if he is truly honest with himself!
Searching for the dragon hunters Kai and Jane go in search of another vehicle. Searching one from a friend of her brother. They get sidetracked in an alley kissing and are almost jumped by the dragon knights.
Kai is injured and Nikki has to rush them back to stonefire. I loved the entire story, it was fantastic and of course it has a doozy of a cliff hanger!

The sexual tension rises with Kai and Jane! These two are so perfect for one another, but very hardheaded. Jessie Donovan has continues a most excellent series. Her writing is clear, consistent, well thought out. The paranormal romance make you believe this does exist somewhere. In this series Kai and Jane are on a mission to find out the leaders of the Dragon Hunters. Jane and Kai are thrown together as fate would want it to be. Humor and a lot of funny quips are exchanged with these two. This is a great writer and awesome series. I would recommend reading all the series in order, but it is not necessary. I cannot wait for more!

We also find out to what extent the Dragon Hunters want and hate Jane. Someone is injured or shot and they may have blown their chances to find the Carlisle hunters this time. Nikki comes up with an Idea that might help. Very exacting stuff happening. Great installment, well written and very entertaining to read.

I was gifted this story as an ARC by the author for an honest review of it. First off I just want to say I love her writing and the way she tells a story. But she is completely evil with the cliffhangers. I so just want to read the next part of the story to find out what happens next. The story is well written and kept me enthralled throughout the story. I just wish there was more of it at the time. Now I am anxiously waiting for part 3.

Kai and Jane have some amazing chemistry. They both know that giving in to it, might have some negative consequences. Jane worries about her career and Kai wants to focus on the investigation. It gets harder and harder for them to resist and Kai's dragon is not interesting in even trying to resist Jane. I am always eager for the next part once I finish. Kai and Jane are back and they are still dancing around the attraction they have for each other. Both are stubborn and won't take crap from each other and boy do sparks fly. When these two allow that attraction to explode they are attacked and Kai is wounded. Back at Stonefire Nikki and Jane tell Bram of Nikki's plan hoping he will agree. This story ends on another cliffhanger with the next part coming in the next two weeks.

This is the continuing story of Kai and Jane. Kai is beginning to show some cracks in that hard exterior he shows to the world. The attraction between the two is heating up and we are left wondering if Jane and Kai are mates. Kai seems to be fighting the attraction but Jane seems to be open to the possibility of a relationship. Kai is hurt while defending Jane and things are looking bad. Once again Ms Donovan leaves us on the edge of our seats. Can't wait for the next book
