Angie has a tendency to begin every chapter with random poem she wrote, which is a little confusing ("are these obscure, really bad David Bowie lyrics? WTH?"), but if you can get past that, she's got some interesting stories about her time with God -- oops, I mean David Bowie.

Nice to learn about the Bowie family life behind the scenes. I don't know where this book came from but it has been haunting my bookshelf for some years. Easy fast read. Far be it for me to criticize someone's actual life events, but I did find it funny that despite the big deal Angela made about how un-traditional their marriage was, I found she was one of the most traditional housewives i've read about. The only exception was the "open relationship" aspect where they could have sex with whoever they wanted without it being a fuss. But all her homemaking, cleaning, cooking, decorating and planning a baby early in their marriage, so that David Bowie would "feel like he had a true home," (because she says children make a home, and without children it's not a complete family) sounds old fashioned and traditional to me.

Really good and really bad at the same time. If you were ever interested in what David Bowie eats for breakfast, this book will tell you. Plus 'Glittering Bisexual Butterfly' is one of the best strap lines ever.

Good to read this account. I’d always meant to. It’s good to hear Angie’s side. And also to read her poetry…I liked Angela’s poetry. It’s good.

The account is quite short really. A lot is not said. It’s wrong about Ziggy tour of Europe. Ziggy never did tour Europe. It’s also wrong about New Mexico being humid!

The account of Angie’s early life, her life at Haddon Hall, he life after Ziggy, in LA and Switzerland is interesting…about Coco, and it’s great to get Angie’s perspective.

The book should have been longer. Good that it wasn’t though, in a way. Good to be circumspect. Oh…som great pictures in Free Spirit. I’ve not yet read Backstage Passes…but I’ve had it for 20 years or so…so I must, shortly.

Happy 75th Angie…your 75th happened when I was reading this! xx

Given to me by my sister, I wouldn’t have picked it up by choice to be honest. It was ok but a bit blah. Was happy to finish it after a while. Definitely showed David up to be a bit of a d*** which I kind of suspected he was already, at least in his younger days. I think he grew into a human being later on.
