2.5 stars ✨

I would have liked this more had I not been in a reading slump. It was okayish. I liked the mental health struggles and how Arianna tried to overcome it. Zander was a decent lead but I didn't really get to him that well. Danny was a typical narcissistic arse. The spice was okayish.

Why must all good things come to an end?

Given is the fourth and final installment of the Highest Bidder series. In it, you will meet Zander, Danny, and Arianna. Now you might think that is has something to do with a love triangle.. but yeah, no. Zander and Arianna are the couple that you ship and Danny is just the one person that ties them together.

Zander is one of those people that you shouldn't mess with. He's powerful in his way and a lot of people owe him money. A lot. Enter Danny, he owes Zander a crap ton of money. He's the guy that girls (and guys) should stay away from. So instead of giving this guy the money, he offers up a person. A fucking person.

Enter Arianna, she for some reason feels like she owes Danny something. Danny was a douche and I hated him from the moment that we meet him. Besides all of that, I loved Zander and Arianna. Mostly because once they meet, he knows that she can't leave. Their attraction and chemistry was amazing.

Overall, this was a bittersweet book. I'm sad that the series is over but I did end up falling in love with this book.

This is the fourth book in the series of the men from Club X and the woman who bring them to their knees, it's not necessary to read the first three but I highly recommend them.

In this book we hear the story of Zander and Arianna, he's a handsome, rich powerful man and she's a slave to a Master who's got himself into a bit of a debt with Zander. In a turn of events Arianna finds herself being sold to Zander on a 30 day contract by her Master but as the days go on neither her or Zander want to part ways both of them start harbouring feelings towards each other it soon becomes clear that what they have is about way more than any contract, however Arianna's Master isn't to happy he wants what he classes as his back. Although Zander technically bought Arianna he has no interest in a Master/Slave relationship with her it's not his thing yes he rocks the dominant vibe but he doesn't get off on pain, there's some disturbing scenes of torture being inflicted by Arianna's Master but I'm glad to say he gets his comeuppance. My nerves were shattered towards the end of reading this book if I were an nail biter I guarantee you I'd have none left reading this book. I love it when Lauren and Willow work together and I've especially loved this series all that's needed now is a book for Charles *hint, hint*.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book.

Given is the fourth book featuring the men of Club X, it is however the first I've read but I will certainly go back for the others.
Zander Payne is ruthless in business. Having having saved his father's business from ruin he's had to be.
People owe him.
Important people.
Danny Brooks owes him too much, it's been allowed to go on for too long.
Instead of sending his usual to handle it he goes to Danny directly, something he never does because appearances are everything and he can't be seen as anything other than straitlaced businessman.
But Danny is different.
Danny doesn't have his money but offers the only other thing that Zander could want, Arianna Owens.

Arianna Owens has some history that left her in need of something a little different.
She feels indebted to Danny and though she truly wants out of their arrangement she can't walk away because of this.
When she finally opens up to Danny he snaps and puts her up for auction.
Little does she know it's for his own cause.

Once Zander has Arianna he knows he can't let her go. He needs to fix what's broken in her, to protect her and most importantly love her.
But Danny's not done, and his final act could be the one thing that tears them apart for eternity.

Why have I not read this series??
I adore both authors yet somehow I missed three books prior to this one? I have to remedy that quickly!
Loved this book, could not put it down!

This is not a standalone despite being sold as one.

Higgest Bidder is the second book in this series and although listed as a standalone - there was a huge chunk missing from this story.

I thought it lacked depth and at times I felt there was too much fill for it to mean anything. I thought it was very rushed right up to the 52% mark when it suddenly "stopped" and I didn't get the ending - it was really lazy writing.

Not a fan of drip feeds - in fact I dislike them immensely and this is a prime example of why I won't read them. They rip the reader off.

So 2 stars because despite it being sold a a full length book it is not. At 52% on the kindle its done and we will have to pay more money to find out the fate of theses two

Just as well it was on kindle unlimited - I would have been very miffed if I had to pay for this considering the shortness of the storyline.

Book Four: Arianna & Zander
*self-purchased on Amazon. No need of sugar daddies called promo teams*

What’s this book about? (I'm trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
Arianna will spend a month with Zander as payment for somebody else’s debt. Here there’s no D/s or M/s.

I still love these authors. I hate writing negative reviews, but sometimes, it needs to be done.
After a disappointing book three, book four ended up being average. The heroine was better than in book three. I liked her character and her interests were adorable. Her issues seemed real and life-threatening unlike book three’s heroine foundation. Zander was tolerable. They made a cute couple when they got together. He seemed like a breath of fresh air when compared to the other leading men of this series. Nonetheless, he still had the same issues as everyone before him. Money. Mom. Money. Sex. YAY. I didn’t quite understand when Zander exactly started being interested for Arianna for more than just her status as payment, but at least, this story was more interesting to read than book three.
All in all, this was an entertaining series. I’d recommend it to unseasoned BDSM readers. Book one and two were by far my favorites. I had lots of issues with book three and book four was meh but still readable.

The rest of the series:
Bought (Highest Bidder #1)
Sold (Highest Bidder #2)
Owned (Highest Bidder #3)
Given (Highest Bidder #4)

⭐⭐⭐

I knew it wasn't going to get better and I was right - it became the same thing over and over, no plot development or dimension to the plot. I really couldn't wait for it to end, glad i finished the series though so my money wasn't wasted but would i recommend? If you read book 1 and 2 and stopped there yes i would but the last two? nope, no way.

Not really for me

This is the 4th book in the series of the men from Club X and the women they fall in love with.

This is the story of Zander and Arianna—he is rich, powerful, sexual, and quite something to look at while Arianna is a slave to a Master who's found himself in debt to Zander. To escape debt, Arianna’s Master sold her to Zander on a 30 day contract but as the days go by , neither seem to want to part ways. But Arianna’s Master doesn’t like the fact his slave wants to stay with Zander and that is when this story swings and the drama ramps up. There are many twists and turns, angst among the passion and sexual tension that develops among Zander and Arianna. There are twists and turns, mystery and suspense and in the end, a beautiful ending among the tears. I loved this story of Zander and Ari.

My rating: 4.7 stars ****

Yessss!! This one was so good and def was my favorite. Zander was actually so sweet I was literally swooning. It was technically master/slave, but on the lighter side which I enjoyed! Arianna deserved so much more and I’m so glad her and Zander were just perfect. He treated her so well and she was just adorable.

LAUREN LANDISH & WILLOW WINTERS ARE AN UNBEATABLE WRITING TEAM! "GIVEN" IS DELICIOUS AND I DEVOURED IT! 5 STARS!!!

Lauren Landish and Willow Winters are an unbeatable writing team! “Given” delivers on all counts. This duo knows just how to hook and reel in the reader and keep their attention. I really enjoyed this 4th installment in the Highest Bidder Series. I am giving absolutely no spoilers here.

The authors chose a different path with this book and I just DEVOURED it…. The writing was impeccable, the plot was nail biting and the love was unstoppable!

It’s a wonderful mix of everything I love. Romance, darkness, suspense, heartache (yes, I ugly cried-something I manage to do when reading all romances), family angst, deeply troubled pasts, life altering events - both past and present, corporate power and hidden agendas. Oh and don’t forget hot sexy time too.

Then throw in a despicable villain (Danny-who I just wanted to punch), a gorgeous yet troubled heroine (Arianna/Ari) who thinks she needs pain to overcome her past, a hot billionaire (Zander-EVERY woman should have a Zander) who still has my heart palpitating, questionable characters (some will surprise you-Charles in particular) and a father who is hard as nails and you have a sure fired, 5 STAR WINNER, that would be “Given”.

Zander & Ari are an intense, complicated yet endearing couple who, when push comes to shove, will stop at nothing to protect the one they love. But at what cost? The events surrounding the Prologue (later in the book) was gut wrenching. (Hence, my ugly cry). This couple proves that if you just take a risk, take a chance on love, that there is hope, there is healing and there is a lifetimes worth of happiness as the reward just waiting to be taken! Take the journey with them and buy this book!

Thank you to Willow and Lauren for writing a truly beautiful story… I’m hoping that Charles finds love and has his story told too. He seemed to fit right in at Club X. Maybe a pairing with Madame Lynn???? (Hint Hint)….

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book but I also purchased my own copy.

Given is the latest in this series by Willow and Lauren. It's the story of Arianna and Zander and how they came together.
It all started with a bad man who Arianna called Master for too long because she felt she owed him. Well, he owed Zander. You can guess how that turned out. Anyways, right away Zander had stronger feelings for her than he anticipated, and wanted something different from her than what she expected, which knocked down her walls.
I do wish there would have been a little bit more of them talking to each other about their poasts, but other than that, I loved this one as much as the rest. It was sexy and dark and had some surprises. This is a good series.
I received an arc of this.

Wow, when 2 of my favorite authors comes together to write a book, you can be assured is excellent!
This is book 4 in the series of the men from Club X , but each book is a standalone.
Zander's a rich, powerful an honest businessman who sometimes have to put his foot down. One example is the likes of Danny who's made a mess of his life & now owes Zander a lot. Arianna's had a tough life so far & after Danny helped her out, she feels guilty & indebted to him. Danny uses this guilt of hers to let her repay his debt to Zander, by submitting to him for 30 days.
Will this arrangement only last 30 days or will feelings get involved?

Once I started reading I couldn't put my kindle down. I couldn't wait to learn more about Zander and I wasn't disappointed. Once Zander saw Arianna he was drawn too her but he knew that she could ruin him but he took his chance. Arianna was in an unhealthy relationship and Zander wanted to save her. Really great story that will hold your attention through the whole book. Zander & Arianna are perfect for each other and the ending was perfect.

A solid 3 stars.

Zander and Adrianne. I was really looking forward to this book post 3 because of Adrianne's introduction via her dark and 'Dom' Danny.
Danny owes Zander money, and in exchange he offers Adrianne. This is the premise.

I gotta say, I enjoyed this one pretty well. Zander is an enjoyable enough character to read from and I loved his little gifts to Adrianne. And when he showed up to her place?

But Adrianne was a tough character read for me. She clearly has a really tough past and I felt it was very glossed over. We're dealing with some pretty heavy stuff here, and I know the novel is about BDSM but I would totally sign up for these in 400-500 pages each in order to properly break down their problems and create more realistic characters. I feel this seems to be my biggest issue in all these types of BDSM books; if the characters don't feel real and deep to me the dynamic doesn't feel nearly real to me. I don't mean to be critical but we are brushing over some big issues Adrianne has. And I consumed this book pretty quickly over night and despite it only have been less than a week ago I find myself not able to pinpoint WHY Adrianne is struggling so much. Her character just didn't feel as developed as I would have liked.

My other big complaint was Zander at the beautiful dinner. That scene just kinda pissed me off. I'm sick of men in fiction always being what would be viewed as immature and toxic IRL. Zander can't control his anger and him and Danny get into a whole fight which causes Zander to have to leave the ball and ask Lucian to bring Adrianne out to him. .__. Come on man. Adrianne was literally just starting her night, and in her shoes I'd be pissed.

I will say I did very much enjoy the end of this one I just wish the prologue didn't give away basically the finally intense scene. It's only 200 pages; you don't need to try to hook me with hints/spoilers.

Plot - 2.5/5 - I needed more about Adrianne's life prior and Danny's whole thing. I know their relationship can be reflective of life but I want more reasons and proper character development to feel properly invested in the plot.
Characters - 2.5/5 - As mentioned above, this story fails to capture me fully due to the weak character development of Adrianne.
Setting - 3/5 - most of this is for the descriptions of the final scenes and showdown. Enjoyed reading those parts a lot.
The Spice - 3/5 - It was hot but didn't feel nearly as BDSM-y as the others

I received this novel as an ARC for an honest review. This was the best out of the series, because Arianna isn't a real submissive or Zander a true Dom. Although Zander has a strong side to command, he's not into kink or the lifestyle that way. And although Arianna played the submissive role to Danny, she was brainwashed into because of her mental health issues. Two people finding there true nature in one another, discovering what real passion and love involves. They are some true ride or die couple!

I found these characters are more realistic and that I can actually picture there story so that was such a bonus as well!

This was a great way to end the series. Zander Payne was so sweet to Arianna and really seemed to want to help her from the beginning. I hated Danny and was glad that Arianna got to get away from him. It was nice to see that Dahlia and Lucian are expecting and still very much in love. I just wish there would have been an update on Isaac and Katia as well as Joseph and Lilly
