This book is part of the Cocky Hero Club: original works from various authors inspired by Keeland and Ward's New York Times bestselling Cocky Bastard series. This is a standalone story inspired by British Bedmate. The main characters from that book have a cameo appearance in this story.
As a follower of Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward's work, I've truly enjoyed the idea of this collection.
This was another amazing story. I loved this book! This was a fun, sexy romance.
I also loved the cameo appearance by Simon and Bridget. It was fun to see a glimpse of favorite characters.

Addictiveness: 5/5 This was a fun, sexy romance that had me laughing out loud many times. As addictive as chocolate!!!
Character: hero 5/5, heroine 5/5, secondary characters 4/5, growth 5/5, real 5/5 Multidimensional characters with good background and great story arch.
Cricket was a wonderful heroine!!!! I really loved her. She was fun, hardworking and sweet. She went after her dreams at the same time she never lost herself in the process. She didn't have her dream job to begin with, but she kept going and trying to find ways to get there.
Talbot was a good hero. Different than most heroes now-a-days, he wasn't a jerk at all. He was a good guy with a great head on his shoulders. He also didn't have the job he dreamed of, but he also didn't allowed his family to take over his life. He was a good boyfriend, a good person and a good politician.
Secondary characters I loved to see the friendship of Cricket and Bridget and the cameo appearance of Simon. I liked her newspaper friend and didn't like his best friend that much. The parents were not amazing, but not horrible either. They were all well constructed characters that took me into a myriad of different emotions.
Villain/antagonists ... one clear villain, a few antagonists.
All characters were easy to love, connect and understand.
Freshness: 4/5 That was nothing out of the world original here, but the author gave the reader a plot that felt different than most stories out there. As fresh as mint mentos!!!
Plot: believable 4.5/5, conflict 4/5, dialogue 5/5, ending 5/5, enjoyment 5/5, opening 5/5, pace 5/5, setting 5/5, subplots 5/5, twists 4/5 Great opening and exciting ending. Believable plot, with sexy dialogues and great pace. Good setting, with great subplots. High level of enjoyment!
I've loved the concept for this plot and how it felt original than most stories out there. The stalker tendencies of the female character were light and fun, nothing really worrisome.
Romance: believable 5/5, chemistry 5/5, description 5/5, development 5/5, steam 5/5 I loved how they met and how they kept meeting each time. It was fun. At the same time, their chemistry was hot and the description of smut was great. Cab.... airplane... a few good places. :) Amazingly descriptive smut and hot romance!
Writing Style: 4.5/5 Multifaceted characters, with well written plot, great pace, sexy romance, amazing dialogues... everything in a cohesive, clean writing style. Great writing!!!
Cover: art 3.5/5, title 5/5, color-font 5/5, buy 4/5 I’m obsessed with book covers. I love to find snippets of the stories within the art. This one was ok. Too generic for me. What really attracted me was the title and the fact that was part of the Cocky Hero Club. I missed a subtitle or something that gave me more of a glimpse of this particular story. I would probably buy this book by its cover, but I had to read the blurb.
I also have to say that even though Cricket stalker tendencies were light and funny I believed they would be more important to the story.
You MAY read this because you love the original series; you SHOULD read this because you enjoy the author; you MUST read this because of the fun, sexy romance!!!
